Please don’t order the catfish. It was undercooked and there was a smell of old fish! Also, when we told the manager of the problem, we were told to pay our check and we were free to leave. I told him that I would never return. He said to each his own. Not a nice place!

Everything was fantastic! Food was great, ambiance great but the BEST part of our meal was our server! She was amazing - made our 3 generation mother daughter dinner an evening to remember! Boudin balls, Brussels sprouts, steaks and the Gator & Crawfish Rigatoni were on point ..... but when in doubt order the crème brûlée AND the vanilla ice cream ... only live once, right?

Bourbon House is a solid restaurant. I've been here several times and it is among the best restaurants in the Quarter. Food and service were great. Our table placement was not ideal, we were really cramped. But they were really busy that night and it would have been a 45 minute wait for a different table. Overall a great experience!

Visited on Friday, January 9, 2026. Beautiful decor and atmosphere. Lovely waitress I wish I could remember her name. Food was the best dinner we had in New Orleans! Filet for me and burger for my husband; both cooked to perfection and full of flavor.

We had a great time. The food was excellent. And had the best margarita I have found yet on our trip.

I visited Bourbon House using complimentary coupons provided through my stay at the Crowne Plaza. The experience was mixed and ultimately disappointing.
The appetizer was decent and acceptable, but the pork chop entrée was very poor. It lacked flavor and quality, and honestly felt below the standard I would expect from a well-known restaurant in New Orleans. I did not enjoy it at all.
Later, I returned to the bar with additional coupons. While I appreciate the complimentary offer, being served wine in a plastic cup was a major letdown and felt unprofessional—especially for a restaurant that promotes itself around quality food and drink.
Overall, the service was polite, but the food quality and presentation did not meet expectations. With better attention to entrée quality and bar service standards, this place could improve significantly.

The redux was so nice I drank it twice! Charbroiled oysters were delicious. Also had red fish and ribeye. All was delicious. Our server, Ambreal, was very attentive and super nice. I was pleasantly surprised at the food and service due to its location on Bourbon Street.

From the moment we entered the host were very accommodating and even made special arrangements for our date. Also I serve a Giovanni was phenomenal and even gave us a lot of good spots to go to after we left around the city. We truly enjoyed our experience there and will be coming back often.

Honestly, It's highly overrated if you are an oyster connoisseur. The only thing special about this place is the bourbon milk shake.
