Idk if I just went on the wrong day but the service was horrible. The bartender was serving us and the people at the bar while her fellow employee sat and chatted with other guests at their table. I'm vegan so I frequently expect some places to not care too much about our preferences. However since I came on yelp and read good reviews I thought to give it a chance. Bad idea. I should've just skipped out on this late night meal and had water. Mushroom fritters 1/10 very chewy. Flavorless. And mostly batter. Yaki mein tasted like a canned tomato soup with no seasoning. Po boy was ok. 3/10. Overall just disappointed I had to wait so long and pay $50 for horrible food. So highly would not recommend this place if you're vegan. Sorry not sorry.

Pretty bomb meal. Took some convincing to get my sister to actually sit down and eat there... it looks super divey, but Paul still delivers a mean feast to your favorite punk rock soundtrack. I will be back.

I've been going here for about a year. This place has the best debris fries in the city & I'm willing to argue about it, lol. (Ask for extra cheese, and add some Crystal's to top it off *chef's kiss*!) Haven't tried anything else. CONSISTENTLY kind, and courteous service from bar staff, and chef/owner. Dive bar priced drinks, perfect for late night eats after a night on the town.

The food was amazing!!! I will be back again. The staff was so informative and friendly and constantly checking in with you. I loved the dive bar feel gave more of a I'm in New Orleans feel. At the end of the night ended up recommending the place to a couple walking by that was curiously looking it. Totally worth it!! I've been waiting for the Cajun New Orleans Taste, this place delivered!

Just discovered this place, and I'm mad that I didn't try it sooner! They have several vegan options, including a greens gumbo that is one of the best gumbos I've ever had, vegan or no. It's a cute little place, and the music is bangin! The servers were great. The vegan yaka mein didn't have a ton of flavor but was fine. The vegan red beans were good, as were the mushroom fritters (albeit a little chewy).

So to start off THIS IS A DIVE BAR so do with that what you will but... the service was top tier and the food was recommended was the daube anything and the shrimp because it's fresh!! Which it was I got the daube fries which was prefect the fries are literally prefect if you are not a crunchy fry Stan but I wouldn't say soggy more like soft fries and weeeeellllllll seasoned shrimp was great I like my greens and the carrot coleslaw over the salad with a light vinaigrette was super tasty now if I had Parmesan over the top it would've took it to the next level but it's still great as is. Definitely a must go too!

We've lived in the area for over three years and somehow never discovered this astonishing place right under our noses. The Green Goddess salad was the best I've ever eaten of that salad. The food was half the price of fare at fine dining. The drinks were stupendously generous and superbly made. The chef, a wonderfully happy guy, happy to interact. The bartender/waitress, bountiful in knowledge and wonderful personality. The old movies playing with caption, the musician filling the area with beautiful music. This is an exceptional find. Value that defies belief. Quality and deeply enjoyable food, drink, atmosphere and service. This is what New Orleans is. This is why New Orleans is. Absolutely special, memorable and top notch experience.Vegetarian options: Stunning menu. Plenty of superb vegetation options.
