My friends and I had an AMAZING time at Brigsten’s. They were able to accommodate a last minute addition (called 3 hours before our reservation) to our party with no issue. When we arrived, we were seated immediately and were then welcomed by one of the best and most entertaining servers I’ve ever encountered (Ben). As someone who has dined all over the world, I do not say this lightly. Ben had our entire table laughing for the whole night. He was kind and all of his dinner recommendations were spot on.The service was lovely and the food was delicious. Highlights of the meal were the butternut shrimp bisque (the best bisque I’ve ever had) and the pork chop. Everything was delicious, but the aforementioned items were exceptional. The cocktails were delicious as well.Overall, great food, top notch service, and a charming setting made for a fantastic meal. I highly recommend. I will be back when I next visit NOLA.

Lovey spot, truly charming and intimate ambience, with over the top service. Gumbo was very good, but I wouldn't make a special trip for that particular dish. However, the menu had a number of woderful dishes, including pork chop, roast duck, and more. Nice wine list and full bar.

Food was delicious and atmosphere was charming. We were looking for a finer dining experience while on vacation in New Orleans, and Brigtsen's fit the bill. We had the pork chop, roasted duck and scallops. Each dish was very tasty, the seafood was fresh, and the chop was cooked to the requested temperature. The desserts, pecan pie and carrot cake bread pudding, were decadent.Only warning - bring cash or be prepared to cover the 3.75% charge for using a credit card. We were too distracted by the photos of delicious food and did not see the fine print on the online menu.

This is maybe the best restaurant in New Orleans. It has not quite 10 tables. Chef Brigtsen comes around to greet diners. The food is awesome. I had the seafood platter...not at all what you think it is. There was a filet of redfish topped with shrimp. There was an oyster with spinach. There were 2 scallops prepared differently. There was shrimp cornbread. Oy! My companion had sheepshead that she said was delicious. For dessert we had king cake bread pudding. Oy again!

First Time In New Orleans: we decided to do a fancy dinner here and we understood different culture and customs on food so we didn’t have high expectations, but the food was decent very expensive, atmosphere was loud and homey but it was Mardi Gras so, for sure that played a factor in it. Other than that I say one time for the one time honestly.

Food was fine but the service was disappointing. The hostess was utterly charming but the wait staff made us feel like a big inconvenience.

New favorite restaurant in New Orleans. We loved this place so much we made reservations for another dinner before we left. Food is simply amazing. Quality of food is exceptional and everything was done to perfection. We loved our waiter. He had great conversation and most importantly we never felt rushed. Dinner was at a great pace. Thank you for a great meal and experience.

We had an outstanding dining experience there. After arriving without reservations, they managed to work us in their booked schedule. Kudos to Jane B our waitress.

Located in a converted house, Brigtsen's is a nice intimate setting for a quiet dinner. We live in Baton Rouge, but travel there every year for my birthday. They have the BEST BBQ shrimp! Really, all their food is fabulous. Just make sure to reserve a table because space is limited.

The hostess, super attentive and accommodating when I needed to update my reservation2. The service. Amazing. They described every dish to perfection3. The food. The bisque was my favorite but the duck was so good as well.
