Overall we enjoyed it. Waitstaff was lovely and food was decent. Not the best I've ever had in NOLA, but definitely not the worst. The gumbo was good, but could have had a little more spice. The oyster appetizer was more like a dip, very different, but tasty. The snappper was delicious and prepared well, but more "meaty" than we likely needed after a long drive. It also could have benefited from having slightly more sauce. The green beans were flavorful, if a little overcooked. Drinks were fantastic. The restaurant's take on the French 75 and the Dark & Stormy were lovely.
Food was outstanding. Mike our waiter was excellent, knowledgeable, very friendly and welcoming. The place was noisy because a large group was having dinner. I will be back because of the food and the staff.
Our server, Sidney, was outstanding. The food was excellent and the owners, AJ and Anna stopped by to say hello. We always go here when we are in New Orleans.
On our anniversary, which was noted in our reservation, the staff failed to acknowledge it. My wife commenced with the Caramelized Sea Scallops, which was delectable. I opted for the Lump Crab Bisque, which was satisfactory. For my entree, I ordered the Snapper Ponchartrain, which was lacking in flavor and excessively doused with hollandaise. For dessert, my wife enjoyed the Crème Brûlée, which was pleasant. Overall, the atmosphere was pleasant, but the quality of the food was disappointing.
Food was just so-so. I was told they were out of the Crab Napoleon but then I saw it being served later to another table. My husband's cat fish was dry and not tasty. There was no kids menu - which I didn't realize and we had our 9 year old grandson with us. It was so noisy it was hard to hear our waitress when ordering or she asked us questions.
Wonderful, personable service. The menu is exciting and the dishes are well executed. They also accommodated our children with a chicken finger dinner. Oooh and don't miss the delicious cocktails.
We love Briquette! The crawfish and goat cheese crepes are to die for! We feel like family here. Thank you Richenel, Michael, Patrick, Toby, Timmie, Anna, and AJ for taking exceptional care of us and for keeping us coming back for more with your amazing food, drink, and service team! Kudos to the chef and culinary team as well! We appreciate you!
Gumbos were both good. Drinks yummy! But the Paneed Chicken Limone was the bomb!!!! Super crispy chicken breast, not at all greasy, served on angel hair pasta w/ lemon sauce and capers. Sooooo amazing!!
Great service but the food could be improved. Big portions but attention to flavor / detail is needed
Do not go if you have any intentions of talking to the people you are going with. The place was SO OVER THE TOP loud that half way through our meal, we considered taking the food and leaving. The acoustics are AWFUL. The food was good (delicious steak - not great brussel sprouts) and the service was attentive but unfortunately the noise level made is a terrible experience.

Best seafood in New Orleans. I had the red-fish on the half shell, which was a huge red-fish filet baked in butter and topped with crayfish. It was moist and flaky. Enough for 2 people to share. Our server, Tony, had helpful suggestions and very attentive.
In every city that my wife and I visit she has one that is a must visit. In New Orleans it's Briquettes. In a city renowned for its cuisine, culture, and charm the staff and food scream New Orleans. They consistently meet and exceed our expectations. As a retired Naval Officer I've traveled the world and experienced a lot of great dining but Briquettes has earned its spot in my mind as one of the best. Thanks again for giving us an amazing experience and we look forward to seeing you again very soon!
Service was bad and we saw a rat. Our waiter kept running away before taking everyone's order and would disappear for long stretches of time before coming back even though the restaurant was empty. Food was very salty and shrimp was undercooked and fishy
This was our first time at Briquette and we all really liked it. We were able to book a table for 9 the same day. Everyone liked their appetizers and meals. The cocktail list was great and our waiter was awesome.
We like visiting here for dinner as a special treat once or twice a year. The restaurant is classy but casual. Service is always excellent and very attentive. Cost on appetizers has gone up a bit since our last visit but entrees have remained about the same. We like to splurge when we come since it's not a regular occurrence. As someone who does not like fish much but loves seafood, this is a perfect option as my fellow diners like to have fish options and they have revised some of the entrees. My sister really enjoyed her blackened redfish and my steak and scallop entree was so delicious.
