Carnessia was friendly, professional and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was stellar and it was an overall fabulous dining experience.

The food was uninspired. The cocktails fell short. I expect more than adequate at a place that is formal and expensive. The many dining rooms and courtyard were lovely. The jazz was nice. Note: the musicians rotate throughout the restaurant so you could hear jazz only a small percentage of the time. The waitstaff was nice, but I don't have faith in my server's recommendations after tasting them. If you want better drinks, cuisine and desserts - and general execution of a similar genre, try Brennan's instead. If you want better food and drinks and perhaps a live jazz band, try Achafalaya instead. Both of those were head and shoulders better than Broussard's.

Given the other reviews I’ll chalk it up to a bad day in the kitchen, but brunch was a disappointment to say the least. The deviled eggs were bland, when one expects some taste in the yolk. My wife’s pork belly Benedict came with soggy potatoes and with the pork belly dried out (and pork belly is hard to dry out). My Croque Madame came with boiled ham, not the real slice of ham I’d expect in a fine dining establishment. But the bottom of the barrel was the fried green tomatoes, which were over breaded and appeared to be deep fried not sautéed, with a slimey layer of something between the breading that was cooked and the tomato, which was too tough to cut with a butter knife, so I asked for a steak knife. It was delivered with no concern for whether there was an issue, even though I’d said the tomato was too tough to cut with a butter knife, nor any concern that I only ate one bite and left the rest. My wife reports that the Bloody Mary was outstanding.

A beautiful restaurant with lovely decor and interior with efficient hostesses at the front. I came on St Patrick Parade evening for dinner. I am not sure if it was due to short staff, which shouldn't be since when my dishes were served, half the restaurant was emptied. Or if it's due to the fact that I wasn't dressed fancy enough since I was dressed up to spectate the parade, I was barely provided much standard treatment in a timely manner. Not once was I being asked how my drink and dishes were... I was hoping to have a glass of white for my main dish as I have finished my cocktail prior to my main being served. My cocktail glass was only collected as I was about to finish my main and asked if I wanted another drink. I think it is fair to comment on how a standard restaurant should treat their client.I ordered the Bees Knees, Gumbo, and Gulf Fish. The taste was good. Not as exaggeratedly outstanding as mentioned in the other reviews I read, but they are certainly not bad. Or maybe because of my mood impacting my feelings toward the taste.

Old New Orleans ambiance, very young staff, but extremely professional and knowledgeable of the food. We went for Coolinary menu and everything was delicious. The drink and wine list was extensive and eclectic. It is worth to try during the special menus and for a special night out

The staff at this establishment made my proposal alot easier. Thank you to the assistant manager working on 2/14 to make it possible. Lovely atmosphere and appreciate the class the staff had. The food was flavorful and filling.

Specifically book for the jazz of "jazz brunch", but the band never played in the room we were in for the hour and 45 minutes we were there. So all we got was a decent, but overpriced brunch.

Amazing service, delicious food and the live music was to die for! There was 10 of us for a Bachelorette brunch and we ordered possibly one of everything on the menu and it was all amazing!

Saturday brunch with bottomless Mimosas? Yes please! Lovely jazz trio wandering by and playing standards just added to the experience. Shrimp and grits highly exceed expectations however the Benedict was slightly overcooked. Staff was happy to resolve but did so in an odd way. Instead of remaking the dish, they brought out fresh eggs that we then had to use to reconstruct the dish ourselves. Thanks to the excellent service and mimosas, we actually found this to be quite amusing. The sauce on the eggs though - OMG. Took all our willpower to not lick the plate!

4.5 stars -- It has the feel of upscale dining, though I didn't feel out of place in my jeans and sweater. I also appreciated that the tables were spaced out nicely; most of the restaurants we've been to so far on this trip have had their guests sitting right on top of one another, so this was a really nice way to spend a quiet meal. I had the crab cake appetizer and the Gulf fish entree -- both were very good, and I'd be happy to join them for another meal. That being said, the sauces accompanying the dishes were not as flavorful as some of the other restaurants we've been to in New Orleans. I supposed that might be the style of this menu; a bit more understated, but professionally executed. I had never heard of a Ramos Gin Fizz before, but since it's a cocktail unique to New Orleans I thought I should give it a try; I'm glad I did because it was very good.
