There was a line inside when I arrived, so it took about 15-20 mins to place my order. I ordered a Shrimp & Grits Meal - which comes with scrambled eggs, shrimp, and grits, hash, brown, and toast. The hash browns and toast were the only items I could manage to eat from this meal without wanting to gag. (It's my first meal of the day. )The grits were half cooked, the shrimp ( processed) was watery and rubbery..and it's sad to say that this isn't the first time I've ordered grits from here and they are grainy or watery. There's no consistency in the flavoring and cooking of the grits nor hash browns. Some days here the hash is just right and then the next you can tell there's someone else in the kitchen cooking. I highly recommend trying some of their other menu items like their chicken and waffle, French toast, breakfast sandwiches, etc..

Food was great but donut had human hair on it other then that the grits where cooked the way there supposed to be add your butter and salt and pepper they hit smoked sausage was cooked great eggs where natural and real they use real eggs not bagged eggs which is a plus because it’s hard to find that I will be coming back just hold the hair like Moley from Friday ?

The place had that local neighborhood store feel where it's not glamorous but you know the food is very good! Each visit was a good one,everyone speaks and are welcoming. Pastries are bangin' , I had the French toast with chicken from restaurant side which was good too!
This place is always busy in the mornings but I never have to wait more then 10 minutes..last time I went as a delivery driver I had 3 orders still got it to me in less then 10 minutes...the staff is also always friendly and attentive!!

I have to brag on this place !!! They’re phenomenal. The lady at the register at the cafewas so sweet. I forgot to get her name, but she made my breakfast sandwich special just for me !! And then I went next-door to the bakery for three buttermilk drops and ended up getting a dozen of mixed because everything just looked so good !!! Miss NeeNee was so helpful and very friendly !! You don’t get service like this much in the industry anymore, and it was very pleasing to have dealt with all these wonderful people this morning!! I live across the lake, but I will always stop over here when in the area !!!!!Vegetarian options: My friend is a pescatarian, and sometimes vegetarian, and she loves this place !! The hash is top-notch, and they give you a very healthy portion !!!

This place is a must when visiting New Orleans. The prices are spectacular and the food is outstanding. The Apple fritters felt like they weighed a pound! The lemon donut was also a stand out. Our groups fan favorite was the breakfast rice. The employees were helpful and full of southern charm. I highly recommend this hole in the wall!

The food is literally amazing and it represents New Orleans so well! The Service was very Quick and Fast even for online orders. and the atmosphere is very home like! you would think you grandma is cooking for all your cousins! y'all gotta go get y'all some buttermilk!
