The crispy artichokes and shrimp bisque were excellent as was the rest of my meal - grilled veggie sandwich with sweet potato fries. I would recommend this place - very friendly staff.
Our group of 8 adults spending a week in New Orleans for a family reunion stumbled on Cafe at the Square by chance for our first breakfast in the city. Had such a good experience that we ate our next 4 breakfasts there and a dinner. Good location 2 blocks from several hotels. Relaxed, and one of the few restaurants we found that was quiet so we could converse easily. Great food, well prepared and we bonded with the staff who were relaxed, friendly and informal. I had a girls brunch with some of my fav coworkers and we enjoyed EVERYTHING! I had a veggie omlette, fresh coffee, and THE BEST GRITS I’ve ever had in my life. These grits were not made with tap water. They were cooked with cream, not too much salt, and a lot of love from somebody’s grandmothers recipe. 10/10! I would definitely return. 💕
