Terrible service and unappetizing food. The taste of the eggs is off and definitely not fresh. The oil for beignet’s hasn’t been changed and were inedible. Don’t waste your time.

Fresh Beignets are awesome, much better than Cafe Du Mode.
Service is slow. Don’t ask the bar tender for recommendations, they don’t provide it.

While in #nola I always make a stop at Cafe Du Monde, on this last trip decided to try beignets from a different place, so went to Cafe Beignet on Bourbon Street, and it didn't disappoint. first off the vibe was great, outdoor seating, live music, overall a great ambiance. and for the beignets also great, they were fresh and warm, also they have an option of chocolate cover beignets which was a first for me.

We had super great food and music here. The band was playing and some young Japanese musicians were dining in when the singer of the band ask them if they wanted to come up and join them for a couple songs. They did and it was super cool. The hot chocolate and beignets were fabulous. Love this place!

Music, coffee and beignets... what else do you need??

Food was dry, bland, bread was stale, and could tell it had been sitting in the back as it came out almost immediately. The music was great and is what brought me in but the food tasted almost prepackaged and/or from a can. Would not recommend.

Let’s start with the positives: the setting is nice and the live jazz (on the night) was as good as you’d expect.

The food, once it arrived, was decent. Neither here nor there and they could have gotten away with that if it wasn’t for the service being so poor. From the start to the finish, highly disengaged teller and super arrogant bartender. Both plain out rude. Properly detracts any decent value out of the visit.

In a city with so many good places and great service. This is not it - so I’d stay away.

- Value for money? No
- Worth a detour? No
- Best for (occasion)? None
- Would I go back? No

We are french toast afficionados, so had very high hopes of this place. WRONG. Bread was french bread dipped for what must have been 2 seconds in some sort of egg mixture. Absolutely tasteless. Self service at counter too. We left before the live music began.

The food taste was not good, fried potatoes were taste horrible. The plate I got seemed was not fresh and looked dirty. Horrible experience.

Beignet was awesome! But for $40 the food was ice cold when it came out. I wouldn't recommend the breakfast unless your only ordering beignets
