The place itself is nice, has a certain vibe. But the beignets are just about ok while the coffee is honestly the worst I’ve had in my entire life. It had been made a while back and the staffer heated it before serving.

Our Airbnb was right across the street from this spot, and it was obvious how popular it was with long lines in the morning. We returned from our swamp tour around 1 p.m., and someone in the group mentioned there was no line, so we hurried over and decided to take our beignets to go since one of our friends was still working. The service was great—staff was patient with us, and the atmosphere clearly reflected a love for the South. They even had a piano playing in the other room, which added to the charm.
We got our beignets within minutes, and they stayed fairly hot when we returned to our place. They’re quite big, so we thought one per person would be enough, but these fluffy, hot, sweet treats were so good I could’ve easily eaten three—so fresh and delicious! From our experience this time, I’d say they’re even better than Café du Monde.

The beignets and atmosphere here is fantastic. The line however was very long and slow moving. There were plenty of people working but somehow only one person actually taking payments. This made the line move incredibly slowly while a bunch of people stood around behind the counter with nothing to do. These are my favorite beignets that I have tried in NOLA. They are very dense and a little crispy on the outside. There is plenty of space to eat inside or out and they keep it extremely clean given how messy beignets can be.

Ordered at 9:45 for a chocolate beignet Nothing 30minutes later. We from New York never seen this type of slow service before. I spoke one staff he didn’t say anything. Just keep walking by and ignoring. Then I spoke to a white lady who seems to be in charge at the counter and she said their printer might be malfunctioning and she is going to check the kitchen. Finally we got our order. 35min later. Oh boy.

This place is right next to my hotel, so I went there today. The coffee is great, beignets come out hot and there was a local jazz band - the atmosphere was great!
Good food, the staff is very friendly and hardworking. I must say the new hats are gaudy and are a bit out of place and ugly, the staff looked miserable wearing them.
