Cafe Lafitte in Exile is a friendly, clean place with a great atmosphere and friendly staff. Upstairs, you can toss beads from the balcony while enjoying drinks and chatting with the bartender. El is a phenomenal bartender who makes great drinks and takes song requests all night. The music upstairs is miles better, and the free pool table adds to the fun. Downstairs can feel a bit dead, but upstairs is the spot to be on a Friday night. Known for their amazing bloody mary's with pickled string beans and chili-stuffed olives, it's a no-nonsense spot for a good drink any time of day. The bar is filled with history and perfectly cornered, making it hard to miss.
