Went upstairs and had an amazing time! El was a phenomenal bartender, he made great drinks and took song requests all night. He turned our whole night around.
When we left we did notice that it was pretty dead downstairs and the vibes were a bit off. Upstairs seems like the better place to be on a Friday night, and you can step out on the balcony.

When we first walked in the bartender downstairs kinda through me and the rest of my group off, but El upstairs saved the day. Music upstairs was miles better, the free pool table was a lot of fun and the drinks were awesome.
Don't waste your time at the downstairs bar, upstairs with El is the spot to be.

Lovely dive bar. Everyone was nice. Bathroom situation: men, you will get a long trough urinal. Women get a door they can lock. Has a unique and fun history with how it came to be.

Terrible bartender on the night I was there. All of a sudden he wanted me to go, said he was trying to tell me to leave but he didn't. The 3 of us were in disbelief as we didn't do anything and he didn't actually have any ball and say anything. All 3 of us were suprised but whatever. Cochroach infected place anyway.
One of, if not the best Gay Club in New Orleans. Always a good time to be had by all and the bar staff is exceptional.

We made this place a stop on our celebration of my youngest's 21st birthday pub crawl, and enjoyed our visit and drinks! We went upstairs where we could toss some beads from the balcony and had a great drink and chat with the bartender, who gave us some good ideas on other places to visit. Everyone was friendly, the place felt clean, and the atmosphere was great. Thank you for being part of our evening!
