We ate there while on vacation and their coffee and their twist on french toast was the best I’ve had. The service was top notch and the cafe was very clean :) Highly recommend stopping in.
Be patient, the food was excellent, and the Miel Latte was great. Quaint atmosphere, great for a quiet brunch.

We are in New Orleans from Minnesota and I wanted grits for breakfast; something rarely done right where we live. I had the smothered pork chop with grits and my husband had the shrimp and grits. It. Was. Heaven. I can only eat a small amount of food and I rarely miss the days where I could inhale massive portions of food, but today was that day.
I truly enjoyed myself today. The food was delicious and fresh. The owner was hands on and had great energy. She was welcoming from the time I walked in the building and greeted me. I would definitely visit again.

Made a reservation with a $30 no show fee, and they seated us without checking our names (so we would've just been charged $30 even though we were there?). Seated us at a weird table with one person in the corner (fine), and the other facing the wall (weird) instead of across from each other, despite there being plenty of room to do so with some quick table shifts. Took ten minutes to bring water, was ready to order food at that point, but server said she'd take our drink order first. I ordered unsweet ice tea, 15 minutes later was given something that looked like a horchata, ten minutes after that was given a sweet tea, finally got black tea after my husband went up to counter 'cause no one was coming to our table within reasonable time frames. Ordered basic breakfast and told her I was vegetarian, so no meat, but eggs are okay, and then she said "no eggs, right?" (...) husband ordered oatmeal, was uncooked on top with water pooling underneath. They took it back and microwaved it, was inedible, so he ate my side of fruit for breakfast. I ordered my eggs over medium, they arrived so over easy that the whites were still liquid-y in places. My grits were cold and bland, but the biscuit was good (although it was forgotten and I had to ask for it). Our food took 45 minutes, and by that time we were so hungry we just ate what we could, but we didn't have any napkins or utensils until after our food was there and we had to ask for it. Ravenous, we just had to sit there waiting. The guy who was pitching in couldn't have been nicer, and he explained they were slammed. When you're slammed, it's bad form to continue seating people and deliver bad food and service, especially when you require reservations with a cancelation fee! This place had great reviews and I was so disappointed. Nothing was taken off our check, which is crazy. We even still tipped a little, which was crazier. Honestly, with that service, we should've just walked.

The absolute best service. So friendly. So patient with our friend who has dietary restrictions. The food was delicious. We had fried grits, French toast and bread pudding

My friend and, i stumbled onto Cafe Porche and wow we were blown away. The owner not only waited on us but shared with us her new book she just authored Color Me Happy. The book is an adult coloring book. check it out on Amazon. Also the french toast is unbelievably good.

Admittedly, the coffee was good. At $5+tax you can certainly expect this. Breakfast was otherwise ok. However, with a price between $11-14+tax, it's not cheap either. The portions are small. Therefore the very good reviews are incomprehensible to me. The service was ok. However, you had to specifically ask for a spoon with the coffee and the same thing again with the second coffee. I expected more for a total of almost $60 (including tax and tip) for 2x breakfast and 2 coffees each
