MAZE Cocktail & Hookah Lounge was exactly the kind of laid-back vibe I needed in New Orleans. The hookah was smooth with a great variety of flavors to choose from, and the drinks were on point—just the right balance of flavor and kick. I didn’t get to try their food (they weren’t serving that night), but I loved that they allowed us to bring our own, which was a nice touch considering the circumstances. The atmosphere is chill, the service is easygoing, and it’s the kind of spot you can settle into for hours without realizing how late it’s gotten.

Maze could be a nice chill spot but has several issues. I don't have any reviews on the food because we did not eat. I reserved a table but received no service. We had to go to the bar to order drinks which negated the reason of booking a table. The drinks are TOO HIGH and not good!

I always come here on Tuesday. Miki usually takes care of me and my party, the experience is great but anyone else is just terrible service. I came today and was moved multiple times due to other customers as if we don’t spend money here. It really threw the vibe off. If you go ask for Miki, the only way you’ll get good service.

My name is Chassidy. I visited Maze NOLA tonight with my spouse as part of our weekly date night. We arrived around 8:50 PM and were told by the hostess that everything was self-serve.
We headed to the bar, where it wasn’t very crowded. Two women were being helped at the time, and we waited to be acknowledged. Despite the light crowd, no one approached or acknowledged us. The women at the bar received their drinks, along with additional drinks for others at their table, while we continued to wait.
After about 20 minutes, a bartender on the opposite side finally acknowledged us and took our order. It took another 10 minutes to receive our drinks IN PLASTIC CUP WHILE EVERYONE ELSE HAD FANCY GLASSES. Given the long wait, I attempted to order another round but was quickly discouraged after a few more minutes of being ignored. I turned to face the bar and noticed the same bartender who had previously ignored me now serving another customer instead. At that point, I decided I no longer wished to continue our experience at Maze NOLA.
As we observed, the hostess asked if everything was okay. Additionally, I’d like to note that when reviewing my receipt, I noticed I was charged as though I paid with a credit card, but I actually paid in cash. PRICE GAUGING AT ITS FINEST HOOKAH $40 4 drinks $8 total $65.

I can't even remember how I stumbled upon Maze, but I'm so glad I did. I have a BALL every single time I go. The vibes are always right, the music is on point, and the staff really goes above and beyond. We pulled up to bring in my friend's birthday at midnight. Even though they technically closed at 12, they heard us singing and surprised us with sparklers and a birthday song...it was such a thoughtful touch and made the night feel extra special. The food at Maze is A1,my absolute favorite are the wagyu sliders. Idk who came up with those but OMG. And the space? Stunning. You literally cannot leave without having a full-on photoshoot. It's giving luxury, it's giving celebration, it's giving “we outside.” I won't lie,the drinks are on the pricier side, but they've got great weekly deals: $2 tinis on Tuesdays, D'USSÉ specials on Fridays, and $5 margaritas on Wednesdays. I don't like the fact that gratuity is included in whatever you order and there was no sign posted , no warning or nothing ! They got an extra 40 bucks for me standing at the bar and them literally doing their job. I don't mind tipping and I always tip well but they didn't do enough for me to earn that tip. I appreciate honesty, but hidden tactics just to make sure your bartender is tipped, is a little shady.
I celebrated my birthday with my mardi gras krewe. We had an amazing time. The food, music and atmosphere was absolutely superior. The staff completely accommodated us and made my night very special. We'll be back!

I’ve visited Maze a few times before and had a good experience. Food was always on point with no issues. Mainly ordered the wings. There was never a question about the bill. The recent visit was disappointing. When ordering drinks I was asked if I wanted to keep a tab open and I replied sure. I had the Dark Matter and a Tequila (Don Julio Reposado) lemon drop. Drinks were fine. When I went to close out a 20% gratuity was already added on and the check said paid in full. I never agreed to the gratuity but I typically do 20% anyway. The way the bill was setup made it seem as if you needed to choose an additional gratuity on top of what was already charged because it’s never mentioned that you would be charged for gratuity. Someone could give a 40% gratuity if they don’t know. That’s deceptive because it’s not mentioned anywhere or by anyone that that’s the policy and it wasn’t the case the last time I was there which was a few weeks before.

This vibes at this lounge were cool but service not so good, and it’s definitely some fraudulent behavior going on here. Make sure you review your receipts because they add other people’s order to your bill and i know exactly what I ordered and then when you call them they don’t answer. I’ve called and left messages over 7 times. Only spoke with manager Yoshi once and he said there was no record of my card ever being charged but yet I have a charge. Make it make sense!

Love the ambiance, but the burgers were made from frozen, not fresh patties, and the service was not the best. The bartenders were snapping at each other.

Martini Night was a no go for me. I didn't like the hookah smoking hostess. That's just plain tacky to stand in the front pulling on hookah while greeting customers. The pre-made lemon drop was so tangy and tart. It honestly tasted like she forgot to put liquor and simple syrup in it. But it was $2 so I didn't have high expectations. A person in our party ordered Garlic Parm fries which took a solid 45 minutes. As a chef, I was mortified when we found out the guy sitting to us was given her fries because when he moved from the bar, he didn't tell them and they gave him hers so he wouldnt wait anymore since his was cold now. They did give her money back. This was a waste of money!
