Some days are better than others, depends on the line and whether the line can pay attention, people in line talking to each other and on their phones, great club sandwich, good beans and rice, nice people,

I found this place by word of mouth. It's a great little spot for breakfast and lunch in the CBD within a short walking distance from the Superdome. Not necessarily focused on tourists, but moreover, the working crowd. I go there almost every time I'm working nearby for a quick and satisfying meal. Daily lunches are served cafeteria style, but also available are sandwiches made to order and pre-prepared salads. My favorite meal is their meatloaf with mashed potatoes and gravy. The owner and staff are very friendly. They keep the restaurant clean and the line moving. This is a great small local family business to support.

I am at a conference and CCC is just around the corner from the Hyatt. It’s my first time here and I would recommend this place for lunch every time. The Cajun chicken was fantastic and the rest of the comfort food was delicious. The cost for 2 was only 23$

I had an amazing dining experience at Catty Car Corner Restaurant! The spicy Cajun chicken was perfectly cooked, accompanied by flavorful green beans and scrumptious southern-style mac & cheese. The sweet potato added a delightful touch to the Cajun southern comfort food. The sweet tea was a great match, blending perfectly with the meal. A must-visit spot for delicious comfort food!

Very nice breakfast spot that I walked to from the Hyatt where I was staying at quicker more efficient service.. I had eggs, bacon, grits, and a fresh toasted muffin. It was all very good, but not great. But the value was excellent for downtown New Orleans.

Me and my sister are here for ESSENCEFEST, and we came in, wanting to escape the heat. We were so surprised with the good food, portions and atmosphere. We're coming back tomorrow morning for the FULL breakfast...btw, try the cinnamon rolls, there are to die for!!!

I love this place. The grits are always the best consistency and the eggs are always right.I love the meatloaf, chicken, biscuits, and the sweet potatoes. YUM YUM!NOW lets talk about this GUMBO! The best chicken and sausage gumbo in the city and trust me I know gumbo. IT is always seasoned very good with plenty of meat. Get the large, thank me later. The staff is always patient and greet you when you come in.Please tip these ladies, they work hard.Kid-friendliness: They are so nice to kids

This is a great little unassuming eatery located on the street level of an office building in the CBD close to Caesars Superdome. Serving delicious breakfast and lunch items with a friendly staff. It's also a great value. We especially enjoyed the breakfast sandwiches, which can be eaten in or to-go.

I like this!Catty Car Corner is not a totally New Orleans experience, but it does attempt to bring the flavor and feeling of the Crescent City into this cafe on the street level of a skyscraper in the Central Business District. It's for nearby office workers, it's likely closed when the nearby Superdome is in use.The menu is written on several signs in the kitchen area. I saw some pots with Southern food: beans, cooked veggies, probably some gumbo. But nothing on the menu indicated how this could be ordered, or what the price was. All three of us had sandwiches, chips, and Coke, and I also grabbed the Tony Chacherie's and put it on my club sandwich. Not totally local for us tourists from Texas, but with the heavy rain and a one-block walk that was mostly covered, it still worked well. And these sammies were goooooood. The girl wished she would have gotten something besides a ham & cheese, but she still liked it a lot. My club was filling, so was the Hunny's turkey. Two big men walked by when they were finished, and she thought she overheard them talking about football-related topics; maybe they were from the Saints? Overall, the place was half full, people enjoying themselves, loving the food. This being New Orleans, parking is terrible. And Catty Car Corner, and this part of Polydras, are not for tourists and it's a long walk from the French Quarter. But it's still a winner. It's easy to find really good food in the Big Easy, and this is one of those spots, so don't worry that you didn't get to eat at the Napoleon House or other famous places. You can come here instead.

$14.93. Meatloaf, Mac n cheese shells, marshmallow sweet potatoes aaaaaaannnnndddddd a Diet Coke. This place has it all....it's cafeteria style but also has salads and sandwiches made to order. The bfast hours are 7-10am. It's a quick 3 minute walk from the Hyatt, so if u need a fast meal, stop on in! It's nothing fancy inside, but who needs swanky when the food is this good! I'll definitely be back.

Go to spot when I don't bring my lunch to work. They always have an array of options. You can get a hot meal, salad, sandwich; the possibilities are endless. Personable staff; most know the customers by name. You can get your food to go or sit down and eat. Prices are reasonable as well.
