The place is perfect . Is a beautiful place looks welcoming until you get the customer service and was awful … customer service was like we going to make you a drink and we want you out . They have the service of a dentist office

The Cellar Door is a beautiful place filled with beautiful people. They worked with me to organize a surprise dinner for my boyfriend's birthday, and they truly went above and beyond to create a special experience for us. I don't know if I have ever met a staff so generous. The restaurant itself is a gorgeous space. It feels like an oasis in the middle of the city. Chef Lucy is truly creative in the kitchen--I was particularly blown away by a tuna dish she made, as well as how she paired peaches with scallops. Strongly recommend The Cellar Door, it looks just as appealing for casual drinks as it was for a special occasion.

CellarDoor is always one of my go-to places in Nola. It's centrally located near super dome but the food is incredible! They also have amazing crafted drinks that leaves you wanting another round. Love how they turned a house into a restaurant - Even when they are busy it doesn't feel "crowded." This can be a romantic date night or a girls night out (which we were celebrating a girls night!). We arrived around 9-ish and while the restaurant was closing soon, they served us excellently and the server was amazing! Their burger sliders are always a hit! Even the pan roasted duck is a winner - can't go wrong! Several of us got the rose drink - yum!

Helped me plan a proposal and exceeded all expectations. Service and staff were amazing, the food was as well. Gorgeous courtyard/dining areas. They made two customers for life. Thank you again Xochi!

Sooooo expensive. Bartender was genuinely a great guy though. He had crazy color hair. Serving sizes were small.

Review of cocktails only. We sat at the bar, service was great, drinks and atmosphere were better. Get a boozy sno ball!

Cute courtyard, great food and drinks, sweet garden cat named Magic! I'd highly recommend this little spot to anyone looking for a bite to eat & great drinks!

One of the finest places in town to enjoy a few cocktails off the beaten path in a intimate authentic setting. I recommend arriving for the 4-6pm week day happy hour to have your pick of seating and $8 classic cocktails. The small platea were interesting amd well executed, although the redfish left me wishing I would remember to only order this at places that specialize in grilled fish.Oh well you cant aways get everything you want. Oh and its worth noting that the table service was excellent. Always there when we needed something and never looming when not. She was courteous and friendly.Highly recommend giving this place a try.

We didn’t even have a full meal here but it turned out to be one of our favorite places so far. If you eat only one thing in New Orleans, let it be their Crawfish Mac and Cheese. Served piping hot in a skillet, its ooey gooey goodness will burn into your memory. Their citrus salad is epic, as are the fried deviled eggs. We ended our meal with their addictive beignets. They do a lovely Sazerac and Aviation. And play great music - I heard Halcyon by Orbital - that doesn’t happen in a restaurant too often. Our server was a sweetheart and took good care of us.

The atmosphere for CellarDoor is five stars! I love the inside vibe and decor. The outdoor courtyard is adorable and it is tucked away. I enjoyed dining and spending time in the courtyard! The service was subpar. We never had a server come and greet us. A server came over and asked if we were ready to order cocktails or drinks not realizing that nobody gave us drink menus. The server gave us menus but still never introduced herself. Also, for a fancy place the server was dressed casually while the patrons were more dressed up than the server. The food menu is extremely limited. There are four entree items and only one includes a side dish. There are no vegetarian or chicken options for entrees. Three out of the four entrees are beef based. A vegetarian or non beef eater will be hard pressed to find entree food options at CellarDoor. To start we ordered two cocktails and they were good. For an appetizer we ordered the Crawfish Mac and Cheese. The portion size was good and there was a decent amount of crawfish in the Mac and Cheese. The cheese on the Mac and Cheese was thin. The overall flavor of the dish was good. My partner ordered the Sweet Smoked Meatballs. The Sweet Smoked Meatballs came with three good sized meatballs. There were enough meatballs for a meal or to share as an appetizer. The flavor was good but the meatballs were salty. If you order this as your meal you would want an appetizer or a side dish to go with the meatballs. I ordered the Pan Seared Redfish as my entree. The portion of fish was good and it was cooked well. I wish there were other seasonings used on the fish besides just salt. Unfortunately, I encountered four bones while eating my fish. Finding the bones was unpleasant, dangerous, and unacceptable. Overall, I will classify CellarDoor as a cocktail bar and not a restaurant. I will come back to CellarDoor for drinks and appetizers or sides. I do not recommend coming to CellarDoor for your main meal or ordering their entrees.

This place was one of the highlights of my trip. We liked it so much that we went back twice. Every member of the wait staff we encountered was warm, friendly and knowledgeable. The food was fresh and delicious and the drinks were downright sinful.

We were looking for local spots within walking distance from the Dome/Arena area for game days. CellarDoor had fantastic and fast service, good eats, and a great atmosphere. We recommend and will return.
