This restaurant is run by the same folks that own The Delachaise Bar on St. Charles Avenue. The menu here at Chais Delachaise is also very similar to the The Delachaise Bar as well. I decided to sample the tomato soup and the fish & chips here which I've had many times at The Delachaise Bar. Unfortuantely my fish was fried in a strange and not so good way which led to the fish not being at all the same as what I've eaten at The Delachaise Bar many times. My tomato soup was good and as expected. I have heard opinions that tend to say that the food at the bar is typically better than what you get here. I'm not sure what went wrong with my fish but strange things happen all the time. Overall this is a cool building and seems like a good spot to grab some food and drinks.

this place was alright. drinks were good and service was great and steak board was good but i got the shrimp caesar salad and it was horrid. the salad wasn’t chopped and was just an entire head of lettuce on the plate which i feel like should be specified if i have to chop it. it was charred but it was basically like trying to cut and eat soggy lettuce which was difficult. the shrimp was seasoned really weirdly too. overall expensive but not worth it

The mussels, steak board and wine were SO YUMMY and our waitress was so sweet and was patient with our multitude of questions. Very knowledgeable on the wines and food offerings. We come every time we are in the area and are blown away each time. I highly recommend visiting :)

Has been THE goto place for happy hour. Amazing and consistent service, great wines for half price, and the best mussels in the city. I love sitting outside when it’s not too hot.

I’ve been a fan of The Delachaise for years and had never been to Chais Delachaise until last week. I’ve been missing out!

They have a great happy hour, half off wine and some app specials!
We got the mussels and steak frites, both were divine! I also had a “handsome little guy” cocktail which was delicious! Finished up with a chocolate soufflé that was divine. Service was quick, helpful, and friendly. Will certainly be adding this to our date night rotation!

I went to here for a Thursday date night. We ordered a couple small plates and shared a desert. My wife had a white wine. The small plates were very good, our desert (apple crisp) came out a little raw for our liking. The waiter gave us the correct bill, but paid a different table’s bill when he brought back my credit card. I know it’s a small mistake and the waiter rectified the issue. But my bill went from $67.00 to $107.00 and if I hadn’t noticed I would have been out almost $50.00.

Dressed up for formal I arrived with my party of 6 and we had the best time! Incredible server (we arrived 2 minutes after Happy Hour ended and she let us get a round at Happy Hour prices!) and delicious food. We ordered the cauliflower and loved it and then almost as soon as we were done they brought out another. We informed them we did not order another and he said hmm okay well do you still want it free of charge? The cheese servings were very small but they tasted great and when we asked for extra bread they brought it promptly. Delicious cocktails, fantastic wine, wonderful staff, delightful food, and the perfect ambiance for a lovely night on any occasion!

Great neighborhood spot. They have a diverse selection of wines from around the world, including from regions that aren't that easy to find in the US (Israel, Greece, Hungary). The fries are awesome and the prices are great, particularly during happy hour. Because of its location, you can sometimes get stuck in a really young and rowdy crowd. The vibe is better if you go earlier. Also, I wish they rotated their wines. It seems to be the same offerings every time.
