A fantastic New Orleans restaurant.
Food 10/10
Service 5/5

Best fried chicken I had in NOLA. Fantastic red beans and rice, and a great chicken sandwich.
Why yes, I did in fact go back a second time during my trip because the food was so good.
They are able to accommodate large parties if you schedule it in advance. (We had about 25 I think, and took over most of the second floor)
Price was very fair for the amazing food. And the cinnamon whiskey cocktail was excellent!
If I had to only choose one restaurant to visit again in my next trip, I'd go here!

We stopped at Chartres House and it was easily the best meal we’ve had since being in New Orleans! The jambalaya and chicken Alfredo were both incredible, full of flavor and perfectly cooked.
But what really made the experience unforgettable was our server, Tennelli. She was hands down the best server we’ve had anywhere, incredibly friendly, welcoming, and so genuine. She went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of, checked on us often without hovering, and even shared some fun local history and recommendations. It honestly felt like chatting with a friend who loves her city and her job.
The food came out in record time (maybe five-ish minutes!) and everything was fresh and delicious. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxed, and being able to sit out on the balcony to finish our beers was the perfect ending.
Huge shoutout to Tennelli and the team at Chartres House, we’ll be telling everyone to come here when they visit NOLA!

What a weird place, we were looking for somewhere to eat and walked by this place. It was 8:40pm we asked if they were still serving food a young girl said…”it’s 11:40pm of course not” I showed her the time on my phone and she said sorry and walked away. She looked extremely high. We get to a table and wait, and wait and wait. Finally we get our order taken with drinks and our server sits down and starts rolling silverware. He walks by after 15 minutes and I asked for drinks. He brings two waters and one coke and says it’s on him. We didn’t order that. Our food comes out after about an hour. Friend asked for well burger it came out medium rare. I got a shrimp Ceaser and it was soggy and the shrimp were undercooked. I’ve been sick for a day and a half from it. Our waiter disappeared after serving our food. We had to get our check from another server. I didn’t think they had bad food in New Orleans until this place.

Even as a local, I still enjoy their welcoming atmosphere and fantastic food. The service is great and overall just a good spot to grab lunch and a drink while touristing around or just running errands in the Quarter.

The food and atmosphere was great! And it's important to note that this is being said After we had to leave another restaurant to find something more suitable. And shockingly enough, another patron ended up in the restaurant as well, from our previous place. She too enjoyed her meal here. Also, I would like to note, the staff was some of the best in NOLA. Just straight up kind. I have never felt so at home or at ease in a restaurant in a big tourism area.

The restaurant is cute and we really wanted to sit in the upstairs patio. We were walked up a spiral staircase and given the option of inside with AC where we could still look out, or on the patio. We chose to sit outside. The walkway was a little nerve wracking as the patio shifted a little as you walk. But we were fine. Our waiter Jason greeted us with some iced waters and started conversation asking if we were local. We informed him we are from San Antonio Texas. He made more conversation as he liked my fiance's Saints cap. My fiance had 2 blue moon beers and I had the Mardirita which was really good and. Hurricane which was tasty and strong. We ordered the fried alligator as an appetizer and then we shared the Taste of New Orleans platter. The alligator was delicious and well seasoned. It was a first for me and I loved it! Our favorite from the taste of New Orleans was the crawfish ettoufee was our favorite. The flavors were amazing! Our waiter was very attentive considering he had to walk back and forth the spiral staircase. He refilled our waters and even brought more out Togo for the road. I highly recommend this place on your next visit to the French Quarter.

The food was ok for New Orleans. I had the shrimp Alfredo. It was tasty but not spectacular. We dined on a Monday night but the service was a bit slow in spite of adequate staffing.

We ordered the beans & rice, fried alligator, wings, & hurricanes. The food was some of the best I have had in Louisiana. My entire family loved the experience & the waitresses were attentive. We will be back.
