Croissants were good. Sweet tea tasted old. They swapped it for another drink and served food quickly, so service was good. Cute decor. Would come back.
Everything about the experience was average at best.
I used to eat here frequently, despite their lack of customer service, because the pho was decent and in the neighborhood. However, my last two experiences were absolutely unacceptable and have convinced me to NEVER return.
On one visit, I found an incredibly long hair in my bowl of pho. While I was disgusted, they offered me a free meal to make up for it, so I gave them another chance. BIG MISTAKE!!!! When I returned the following week, they served me pho with spoiled beef that smelled horrible.
What made it even worse was their complete lack of apology or accountability. This made me suspect that these issues weren’t accidents but a result of their consistent disregard for quality and hygiene.
This is a serious warning to everyone: DO NOT EAT HERE. They cut corners on food safety and customer service. IT’S NOT WORTH THE RISK!!!!!
We came in, we were very kindly acknowledged and greeted by a lovely young lady. Wonderful service first of all. Secondly, the food. we got the coconut cream pie, the lemon (i forgot what its called), and a canoli. compared to Maurices Bakery in Metaire (which used to be our regular), this place is way better. the canolis dont taste stale. Food is reasonably priced. Honestly, everything was great here and we will definitly be coming back! This is our new go-to bakery here in the city

They had a note on the door that says due to a shortage of employees they have shortened hours. I believe this is a lie. I believe there are plenty of people who will work. Right down the street there are a dozen employees at Another Broken Egg. What you probably have madam is a management problem. You're probably a control freak who doesn't know how to talk to people and your compensation probably sucks. Your product tastes fine. Space seems a bit crowded. The cashier who helped me seemed afraid of her shadow.

Met a friend here for lunch on a Monday. Go to the counter, place your order and pay. Everything was clean inside. The service was friendly. The shrimp rice bowl was good and fresh.

My dessert was stale . It wasn’t creamy . Very disappointed
The pho was amazing and you get a HUGE portion for the price. Loaded with lots of meat and veggies. Pork spring rolls were very good-the sauce they come with was delicious.

Y’all gotta try the crawfish pie! It was so good I wanted to buy the rest of them. This place has amazing deserts but surprisingly also has amazing lunch options. The prices are great and so was the service.
Absolutely love this place!! Best meat pies in the city!!
Great place! Very delicious birthday cake! Birthday cake is very good. Highly recommend this place
My second visit after a month. After the first visit, my credit card was hacked cause someone tried to charge almost $800. The bank cancelled the card. Second visit around 4.15 this afternoon 7/9/22. The young male approximately 21 years of age was mopping the floor and walked over to the counter without washing his hands nor did he put on a pair of vinyl gloves. He picked up the tongs to pick up a croissant and I said you need to wash your hands. He seemed surprised and said "I have the tongs." I responded that is not correct. He walked away and came right back He probably rubbed sanitizer, but I did not watch his action. If employees like this young male do not know about basic hygiene they should not work in a bakery or a place selling food. I then informed him about the credit card hacking and he became very defensive and tried to defend his 18 employees. The organization is having problems. Given these two odd experiences, and with ordinary baked products, I will take my business elsewhere in Lakeview.
