The staff at the vendor, Elysian Seafood, need to be taught how to treat customers. None of the three showed any eagerness to take our order, never a smile or wishes for good dinning. Not a shred of caring about what they were doing - very poor! The seafood gumbo had rice that was crunchy - not cooked and the shrimp was like rubber plus the gumbo just seemed thin. The crab cake sandwich was hot and tasty but the bun was flimsy so parts of the crab cake kept falling out. My wife reported that there was no toilet paper in the woman's restroom. The Xmas tree was still up in February. The place was clean which was a plus. The vendor used real plates and table ware - not throwaways so that was good. We will return since the selection is very appealing but we will not order from the Elysian Seafood vendor. The owners need a staff that is enthused about their work.

What a great place with many choices of food to satisfy anyone’s craving. The oyster place served fantastic char grilled oysters. Son enjoyed the Burrito place. The corner bar serves a great purple slushy drink along with having happy hour prices. Do check out Coalesce Goods, she makes an amazing vegan and gluten free oatmeal pie!

I wanted something breakfast like so I decided on the breakfast burrito. It has scrambled eggs, black beans, corn, cheese, avocado, and pico de gallo and I opted to add some veggies to it. I should have asked what veggies consisted of because it was $2.50 for some caramelized onions. The burrito was ready in about 10 minutes and came out with some salsa and chips. The burrito is large and I was only able to eat half of it before tapping out. I saw another table get the huevos rancheros and I think if I order from them again I'll give that a try.

I love their chicken tacos and veggies burritos. The people there are always friendly and easy-to-talk to. I first discovered them 3 yrs ago at St. Roch Market and I can’t stop going back. Consistent quality and nice prices. They’re one of the best options there!!

We tend to always stop into St. Roch when we visit New Orleans. We love the variety and the fresh preparation of our food selections. This time the experience was quite poor. The service staff at both vendors we selected were put out to make our orders it seemed. The individual at the Haitian stall was more engaged in eating her meal then in making what we selected. The quality was poor and seemed to be food that was left sitting too long. I don't think St. Roch will be on our list int he future.

It costs nothing to serve someone with a smile or even a hello. You don't want your bitter attitude in someone's belly. It's a beautiful day, try on some kindness!

This place is in St Roch Market. You might think u want a taco but there's definitely better options with better service a few steps away. First, I had to wait 10 minutes bc no one was at the counter. Finally I asked the neighboring vendor and he kindly went to call for the worker from The back. When the worker came up she was not happy about having to return to work. She gave me the worst attitude and was annoyed for me giving her my order. 15 minutes later, I went back to the counter and asked "how much longer on the food?" The other girl who was cooking said "do u want a refund?!" As I waited for the order, the cook said "I got your tacos right her b****** Then later I heard her say "these white people!" And she continued to sing her phrase once again as they both left the counter on their way back to the kitchen. I will Never eat here again.

Now that we found this place, we will keep returning. My Black and Blue salad was good, hubby's gyro was plentiful but the slices could have been thicker and less crisp. There were 8 of us and everyone agreed, this was a great stop, having a wide array of foods for a large group. The atmosphere is relaxed but a bit noisy for chatting inside although there is ample tables outside. Bathrooms are clean, prices are in line with the quality and quantity of each vendor's offerings and all of us were happy with our food.

I'm a big fan of this place. The proprietor is cool and runs a solid ship. He is usually the one making the food. Being from Chicago, a lot of the cuisines in New Orleans are very lacking for me, including Mexican. Where I'm from, you can get amazing Mexican food on any given block of the city, whether an upscale place or a cheap taqueria. I was skeptical of getting good Mexican food in a food court, but since some of the other vendors proved to be great, I gave Chido a shot. I was very impressed and continue to come back whenever I get a craving. I can only speak to vegetarian items. That said, the guacamole here is the standout. It's got a great bouquet of flavors and is topped with pepitas. I've also had quesadillas and the veggie burrito here, both of which were super tasty. I like the creamy chipotle sauce that comes with the quesadillas. A lot of people rag on the St. Roch Market because of gentrification and such, and that's a valid issue. But the vendors in here work really hard and deliver surprisingly fine food. Chido is legit good.

Dropped in for lunch and was spoilt for choice, so many different vendors with great menus. Finally settled on an Haitian meal, girote plate which was pork, crispy on the outside and mouthwateringly soft inside. Served with rice and peas, plantain and a slaw. I had thought it would be a small portion and was looking forward to visiting the dessert stall. However the plate was heaped high and sadly I had no room for pud. Highly recommend this place for great food with a cool vibe.

I have travelled to New Orleans for many years. I was staying in the Marigny and decided to visit the St. Roch Market. I checked their website and it looked like an upscale food court and since it was located a couple of blocks from where I was staying I thought it would be a good choice. The reality of what I saw was nothing like the slick photos on their website. I arrived at 5:30pm since it stated they were open until 10:00pm What I found was a not so clean looking space with tired looking food on display. Before I arrived I thought I would visit the Elysian Oyster Bar inside the market, but after seeing the overall condition of the venue I decided against it. In all fairness, after perusing all of the food stalls, I didn't eat there so I can't comment on the "quality" of the food. The staff working at each booth looked extremely bored and none of them greeted me. There were a few people dining and perhaps there is a different vibe at breakfast and lunch. There are too many great restaurants in New Orleans to settle for mediocre food that looks like it's been sitting out all day.

Was taken to this place on a culinary bike tour. This place is a food court but it doesn't look or feel like a food court. It is very bright and airy and feels welcoming. I was not disappointed with the food or atmosphere and would go back.
