Ordered the seafood platter and a filet to share. Everything was great. We make a special side trip to eat here and were not disappointed.The only thing lacking was the bread which not great and New Orleans has good bread so it could have been better.Parking: Free valet, just pull up front.

The food was great. Our server was very attentive. The only problem that I had was the noise. It is also very dark. It is not a romantic restaurant, so why isn't there a little more lighting

Bit over our reservation, but food was absolutely outstanding. Our server was very nice and professional (wish I remembered her name). Everyone was friendly for the most part. We came to celebrate my gf's birthday and she really enjoyed both the food and ambience. We had the porterhouse special and it was cooked to perfection. Would definitely come back.

We started with the crab cocktail, wedge salad, a dirty martini and aperol spritz, then ended with the filet, a delmonico, mushrooms and onions and asparagus- and accompanying wine.We sat at the bar like we always do. You had two bartenders last night, one blonde, and one brunette. The brunette was pleasant and helped us choose a wine for our dinner.To the owner: the blonde bartender who was working on the evening of Sunday, March 24, 2024 is an extreme displeasure. She has a nasty, distasteful, entitled attitude and made our usually wonderful experience, awful.She'll remember this- we asked her to chill our wine a bit and oh boy.. did she take that personally. Strange that she would.She's very easily offended, unapproachable, and sarcastic. This will no doubt be the last complaint you receive about this employee.Retrain her to not take customer requests personally and to hold up the high values of Chop House by delivering elevated service, or surely you will lose regulars. Otherwise, get rid of her.You don't need some kid ruining your reviews and good reputation.

Absolutely delicious!!!! The steaks were cooked perfectly. Fried lobster tail with clarified butter melt-in-your-mouth good.The wait staff had the most perfect professional service. Most had a very traditional Southern accent so that made the experience even better; Southern Hospitality all the way, warm and friendly. I felt welcomed. You will need reservations in advance and dimly lit. I very highly recommend, perfect experience.

I recently visited Nola for a conference and went to the Chophouse because it was supposed to be one of the best places to have a steak. My fiancé and I always share a tomahawk steak and out of the four restaurants that we shared a tomahawk steak at during our stay, this one at Chophouse was hands down the best one! If fact, it was the 2nd or 3rd best tomahawk steak we've ever had at a steakhouse and we've shared a lot of these in our travels together.The only issue we had was the live music was so loud we couldn't have a conversation. We actually were sitting about the furthest away from the guy at the piano, but the speakers were extremely loud.

Great restaurant with perfect steakhouse atmosphere. Live music was playing and it was not too loud and amped up the atmosphere. Everything we had was very good. Carpaccio was beautifully plated and very tasty but the flavor of the meat was a little lost because there were so many toppings. Bacon was traditional steakhouse and delicious. Rib eye was full of flavor but was not cooked as requested which unfortunately happens more often than not at a steakhouse. We ordered medium well in order to have a hot pink center and it was much closer to a red center. Having said that it was delicious. Sides were great. Baked potato is large enough to be shared by 2 people and since they dress it at the table each half can be done separately. Chophouse salad also vey good but not a large portion, we certainly didn’t need it bigger but want to point that out. Salad is served with dressing on the side which allows it to be dressed to individual likings. The main reason for the 4 and not 5 was the service. We requested spacing between our appetizers and main course and our server assured us she would not have our dinner fired until we told her we were ready. Not sure why she told us this and then had our main course prepared without even telling us but she did. Main course came too soon after the appetizers. Overall I would definitely return but will be more vigilant in not ordering mains at the same time as appetizers.
