Sorry, first time customer. I see you have good reviews, but I stopped by your truck in Slidell today for 3 pm when it was supposed to start, and I ordered the 2 meat platter, cracklin 1/2 lb, and brisket bomb. Was told the fryer wasn't up an running yet so had to cancel cracklin and brisket bomb. Tried to sub for the wings, but that also requires the fryer, so couldn't get that. The two people behind me got their order first, and when I got home, there's no cup of sauce in the box, and I'm not making that drive back to you just for a cup of sauce. Not a good first impression. And yes, I called asking about the cup and was only told to drive back there for it. Not even worth the gas to get there. Picture of order included as proof I'm not some random person complaining without even buying something.

The chicken was smokey and moist, though the rub was a little spicy for my wife

Got the brisket/rib plate for my dad for his birthday today super disappointed 1 piece of brisket that’s half fat is hardly considered a portion of a brisket plate and it was also super tough not in the least but tender. The smash burger was also overcooked and had a very sloppy presentation definitely will never come back

I’ve ordered the smoke house sale here a few times and it’s usually pretty good but today it was not. The greens were old beginning to turn. The pickled onions were missing and the brisket was scant. Not good.
The Jalapeno cheddar sausage will ruin your palate. I like spicy but that was not pleasant. The Mac n cheese was just dry noodles. The boudin was not properly cased, it was very loose, and the casing was so tough it was inedible.

Great food! We really enjoyed our meal. Everything was flavorful, the meat was tender. My favorites were the smoked beans, brisket and the wings and the burt ends! The ower is friendly and tentative to the customers. This has to be some of the best barbecue in New Orleans! We will definitely be back and SOON!
