Great location for lunch if you are attending something at the conference centre. Food was excellent (had the redfish - cooked to perfection!) - good choice of entrees and a good selection of light and heavier dishes depending on how hungry you are. Very cool waitress served us too - very smiley person who gave good recommendations (rather than pushing the specials).

Very good food and service. The charcuterie board, gumbo , catfish and the oyster/bacon sandwich were all very good. Warm and professional service . Seemed like a more locals place (which I like).

Was very disappointed with Cochon this time around. We had been going for some time, but haven't been there in about 4 years. This time when we went, we found the menu had really shrunk, as did the portion sizes, however the prices sure did go up! Sorry to say that we will not be going again, or recommending to others. Used to have a great selection of entrees, but alas, no more!

This restaurant shows once again how very perfect meat quality from our own butcher shop fuels the overall experience! The place itself - as is mostly the case in the US - is relatively large and very noisy. The tables are close together, little privacy. However, the food makes up for everything! Just incredibly tasty, no matter what we ordered. A great experience, so good that the next day we stopped by the butcher's for lunch!

Cracking visit. The atmosphere, the staff and the food all on point. Different to the other usual smokehouses in area the menu had some lovely unusual dishes. We had the pulled pork, oysters, boudin arancini and the seasonal sprouts!

Stopped by after touring the WW2 museum for a mid afternoon meal. Very nice establishment with good service. I had one of their drink specials and Wood Fired Oysters for an appetizer. The braised brisked was the main course. All very tasty and served very nicely. The restaurant was not too busy and was checked on by several members of staff at different points to make sure everything was up to standard.

We dined here on our first night in the city. The restaurant is in a renovated warehouse and the decor first right in with the esthetic. It was busy but got a table without a reservation. Definitely reserve on the weekends. Crafted cocktails were great, though a little pricey. It’s the menu that is the star if the show!! The boudin should definitely be tried! The rabbit and dumplings were fantastic!! Great flavor and use of herbs, brisket was also great!, but a suggestion for those who are from great barbecue states- try something else- definitely good but you can get good brisket where you live. Amazing fresh rolls and the banana pudding is a must try. Service was friendly and professional. Definitely coming back!

Everything about this restaurant was fantastic. Nice to have an option away from the intensity of Bourbon Street. It has its own lively experience offering so many options to seating environments. Special Thks to Carrington.

Cochon is exactly what you hope for when you land in New Orleans and want something real. The room is lively but not over the top with exposed brick, wood fire, and smoky energy, and the food backs it up. Start with the wood fired oysters or the fried alligator. Move on to something big like the Louisiana cochon, the pork dish they’re known for, or the rabbit and dumplings. The cocktails and beer list hold their own too. If you’re down for serious southern flavor done with confidence, Cochon is a must.

Southern Cajun cooking at its absolute best. The smoked pork and fried alligator bites were packed with flavor, and the atmosphere feels like a mix of a backyard party and a chef’s kitchen. Loud, warm, full of life — the kind of place that makes you forget what time it is.

Oyster are hands down the best. SAVE YOUR BREAD to dip in the oyster sauce. We also had the jalapeño salad. Small portion but decent. I wouldn’t recommend the Brisket. It’s just a roast with expensive meat. For $34 it was really disappointing. You’d get the same taste from a chuck roast.
