Commander's Palace produces excellent, inventive food paired with service that you don't get any more. I had the chicken confit which was delicious, fall apart tender, and crispy. It was served on top of a mixture of brussel sprouts and beats. I'm not a fan of brussel sprouts but these were good.
Of all the restaurants I've visited, the Commander's Palace has to be one of the best, being excellent in food, service, and atmosphere. The gumbo was great and the bread pudding desert was excellent. The almond-coated fish entree was OK, but a but bland for my taste.
It’s been over thirty years since my husband and I ate here. It was one of our most favorable and best dining experiences. We were unsure that it would be anywhere as close as our memory. I am happy to say the level of service, hospitality and food quality was outstanding. Watching the precision of the service, with every entree at each table being served in unison, the friendliness of each person and professionalism is a treat.
