The food and service here are outstanding. The eggs and meats were cooked to perfection, and the sausage gravy was very tasty. It was a bit spicy, but not too much even for a wimpy palate like mine. The pancakes were outstanding, and don’t miss the biscuits. All in all, it was a great place that we’ll visit again during our trip here to New Orleans. And the TA posting that it’s closed is outdated and very much wrong.
A perfect way to wrap up our NOLA trip. We stopped in for breakfast before checking out of the Eliza Jane Hotel and couldn't have asked for a better experience. The food was delicious, the coffee was excellent, and the staff couldn't have been friendlier. The space has such a timeless charm; it's not old, yet it somehow makes you feel like you've stepped back in time. Loved the atmosphere and the inviting interior. A wonderful dining experience all around.
2 days in a row came over here for breakfast and was not disappointed. One day was a sit-down full breakfast at the bar while the other one was a to go breakfast sandwich. Both were phenomenal, especially the homemade biscuits with scrambled eggs. Great people carrying on the neighborhood breakfast and lunch tradition at this diner. Highly recommend.
