Phenomenal. Friggin phenomenal. Food comes out quick, prices are excellent, and the service is wonderful. It almost looks like a corner store / mini mart from the outside. Don’t judge a book by its cover. Come inside, order at the bar and enjoy. The gumbo and jambalaya really hit the spot. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Just a block away from the conference center too. Thank you so much for the hospitality and unreal food.

The environment was good, the food was good, the drinks were good, the service was good. The bartender never smiled or acted friendly 99% of the time. We were told this was a great place to go according to the ratings. I was here on a American Legion National convention and outside the doors of this establishment it welcomed the legionnaires. Oh well on to the next place then.

This is a low-key slightly dive-y (in the BEST way) corner joint. Order at the bar. Super friendly bartender and outstanding food for the price. Loved the kitschy decor. Wish I lived nearby!

Had a simple but good quality lunch here with red rice and beans and a Caesar salad. Service was good. No complaints. Basic local New Orleans place.

Cool, divey atmosphere, with silly items to look at scattered throughout the bar.

Dive bar atmosphere but very clean and surprisingly good food. Kitchen is open 11-4pm. Best gumbo in the city. Don’t sleep on this place!Shrimp po boy was great. Soft bread. Not dry. Delicious. My husband said the gumbo was one of the top 10 things he’s eaten and we are going to saint Germain tonight for a $450 dinner!
