On February 14th at 8PM, we were seated in the very back of the restaurant with a divider panel placed between our table and the rest of the dining area. Throughout the evening, surrounding tables received consistent attention while our table was largely ignored. Our waitress was noticeably dismissive and rude in her tone and interactions with us. The difference in treatment compared to nearby guests was obvious and uncomfortable. The experience felt discriminatory and deeply unsettling.

Honestly, the food just wasn’t good, especially for what it cost. Service was slow and we felt pretty ignored the whole time. Definitely not an experience we’d repeat.

Here is a short, measured version that communicates concern without making an unsubstantiated accusation:
We left this restaurant feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. While other tables were checked on regularly and served promptly, we experienced long waits and noticeably different treatment throughout the evening. It was disappointing, especially on Valentine’s Day. We truly hope this was not intentional, but the experience did not feel equitable.

Here’s a revised version with a different angle and a sharper but still credible tone:
We chose this restaurant for Valentine’s Day expecting a special experience, but it completely missed the mark. From the moment we sat down, the atmosphere felt chaotic rather than romantic. Our server seemed overwhelmed and inattentive, we waited long stretches without updates, and simple requests were forgotten. The food, when it finally arrived, was lukewarm and underwhelming, especially for the price point. For a night that was meant to feel thoughtful and memorable, the experience felt rushed and poorly managed. Unfortunately, it did not live up to the hype.

The service was very slow. Our waitress brought us the check before we even received our drinks. We booked this restaurant weeks in advance for our Valentine’s Day dinner and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. We were really looking forward to dining here, which made it even more frustrating.

Some of the food was delicious, some was surprisingly overly salty, and a couple of things were bland. Not worth the price. Might be good for dessert, apple custard pie was delicious.

Food is great, but giving 2 stars because they don’t have a changing table in the men’s room. It’s 2025, is it still a woman’s job to do the diaper changes? Why can’t a changing table be installed in the men’s room?

We ordered the pris fixe menu for Coolinary. Nearly everything was excellent, my favorites being the shishito peppers and the tuna tartare. Nice beer and wine selection. Definitely a special-occasion place for the prices

The perfect place to step up date night. The happy hour was relaxed, tapas were filling, and the unique house cocktails were worth a second round.

Every bite was a parade of flavor.. beads optional. Service was so friendly, I half expected them to send me home with leftovers for the next day (they almost did).

Definitely would not recommend the coolinary experience at costera. Served us basically all sides with one small plate as a protein. Charged $58 dollars per person to eat bread, potatoes and veg.

We came with a party of six and ordered every appetizer (some twice) along with the paella for three. Everything was absolutely fantastic and the service was spot on. Highly recommend!!!

My favorite happy hour spot in the city. We ordered a variety of dishes based on the bartender recommendations: pan tomate, bombas, seared tuna, octopus, patatas bravas coupled with some cocktails and ending with tres leches cake. It was delicious from start to finish.
