The entire kitchen staff are temps just winging it. That's why the lady in previous review was served bad oysters. There is no one there cable or who cares enough to make sure they aren't serving outdated food. This place is a sinking ship, not what it used to be. Hence the empty dining area. New staff. OLD FOOD. MICE.

Drinks: Full bar but cannot do a Paloma, I had to send back my drink twice. Food: Oyster were not fresh... I had to stop because one was very nasty. Tasted 100% spoiled. They was some slimy water dripping out of them. Ambiance: Place is empty. My party started sleeping. Service: Slow. We have been here since 7:05PM it is 8PM, we just received our starters AND THE PLACE IS EMPTY. Please save yourself the trouble.

ummm the service was pretty good. But the food wasnt good. Fougasse: not what i expected - I didnt like it but if you like herbs and bread, you would probably like it (i am more a plain bread person) Escargot en Croute: the escargot was good, and it was served on a puff pastry but the puff was a bit too buttery and oily. Carrot soup - this was good. We wanted the Truffled Butternut Squash Veloute but they didnt have it that day and only had carrot - but it was still pretty good. Flat iron steak - it was a bit overcook. Didnt like it. if you are looking for a quiet dinner, this is the place, we were the only table there that night!

I made reservations for our party of five while in News for Essence fest. The decor and ambiance was very nice. Our waiter was friendly and shred which dishes he liked. I had the house sangria and the duck confit with waffle. Both were delicious and very flavorful. They seemed to be short staffed but it was only an issue when we waited for our bill, but the manager helped with that so it was fine. Overall a great experience!

My boyfriend took me here for my birthday on 07/04/25 and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I hate that I don't remember our server's name but she was amazing!! The bartender even checked in with us to ask how his drinks were (FANTASTIC!!). I had the duck cofit and waffles (100 out of 10) my boyfriend had the shrimp and grits (he RAVED) and we shared the stuffed French toast for an appetizer. We were thoroughly satisfied and I absolutely enjoyed my Birthday Brunch at Couvant! Thanks for an amazing start to my birthday weekend!!

Chef Sam is extremely talented and does amazing things with Brussel sprouts. We have been to Las Vegas many times and the âtop chefsâ have nothing on Chef Sam.

Couvant is criminally underrated â a quiet culinary powerhouse hiding in plain sight. For our final night at the Eliza Jane, it delivered a meal that didnât just exceed expectations â it obliterated them.

Weâve stayed at the Eliza Jane before but had not tried Cauvant until recently. Absolutely wonderful experience! Stephen was our server and he did a wonderful job. The coffee and lattes my family and I ordered were delicious. I had the croque madame and it was fantastic! The atmosphere is beautiful, location is great, right on Magazine street, safe area, close to WWII museum. Highly recommend this place! We will be back.
Jeremy was absolutely incredible. He made our 1st wedding anniversary so special!

We came on a rainy evening and there weren't many people inside. So it was nice and quiet. Our server Jeremy was lovely! The drinks were delightful and the duck leg was crispy and well seasoned! We enjoyed our experience and will be back on a sunny day to hopefully sit out in the courtyard.
