Excellent Quality food at reasonable price's. Great Service and environment. Wait staff is knowledgeable and patient. Had breakfast/ brunch here 3 times in my week stay in NOLA.

We had Thanksgiving dinner around noon. The Turkey was great but almost no stuffing, which was disappointing for $37. The green beans were plain and could have been from the frozen food section of a chain grocery store. The service was really poor and slow considering there was only us two plus a large family. The dining area was dated compared to the rest of the hotel.

We were a party of 5 and the service was slow. When our food arrived, after a very very long wait, it was cold for all of us. 2 of us had ordered fish and they had ran out it, so they replaced it with shrimps with weird spices that didn’t fit with the rest of the dish. Overall a very disappointing evening.

The service was terrible and slow, and the wait staff was poorly trained. We left after 45 minutes, giving up on getting any sort of reasonable service after getting only our drinks.

I took my mom there for her birthday and the service was horrible. We sat there for 20 minutes without anyone coming to our table. I had to get up from my table and ask for water and if someone was going to be our server. At this time there were only three other tables seated in the restaurant. When a server finally did come over, we were told they were out of half of there dinner entrees which they only have about six options so this was disappointing. My mom's drink had to be sent back as the tonic was flat. She ordered the filler mignon and it came out very rare which isn't how she ordered it so I switched my entree with hers. Overall, extremely disappointed.

These people are the worst! We got here at 1:09pm ordered about 10 mins in we ordered at the bar. It took them 20 mins to come back and tell us that they were out of an appetizer. Grant it we still havent gotten the raw oysters we ordered. I expressed to my husband how the timing and the fact it took them that long to tell us they were out. It is 1:36 and the food runner guy that thinks he's in charge, J.D, brings the oysters. I ask if he's the manager, he says he's the food and bev director. I proceed to explain how this is ridiculous. I say, I wish we had more time because we would go somewhere else. He proceeds to tell me that I wish you had more time too. That was extremely rude to tell a patron spending money at your restaurant. I could have raised a big stink and caused a scene. I didn't. This place place is horrible and don't treat patrons with respect. Rock bridge who owns this restaurant apparently needs to look at the staff in charge because they are ruining your business! Now I want to praise Phillip, the bartender, he was great! I will never go back and I encourage other people to not go there. It's not a dicks restaurant, I don't expect to be insulted by the staff! J.D needs to be fired, because clearly he doesn't know how to talk to customers.

The food was ordinary except for the escargot and the crème broulee. Both were excellent. The entrees were ordinary and definitely not French cuisine The flank steak was served with cold stale fries meant to be pomme frittes. The coco vin was just a chicken drumstick. And the beef borgouine was roast beef nothing more. Very disappointing. Also no French bread was served. It had to be ordered and it was not very good

Sat at the bar for 10 minutes with about 5 people there and didn't even acknowledge us. Goodbye. Went to a place around the corner.

For the nearly $150 we spent on on meals and 2 drinks, this place was not up to par. Perhaps it was an off night, but it took us 45 minutes to get our drinks, and nearly and hour and 15 minutes to get our food. This was with a reservation on a Friday night. They were also out of food on their menu and other people in our party missed sides and drinks as well. Not a good experience.

Tonight was a weird night. We have been here before, a few years ago and enjoyed every bit of it, but tonight was a weird night. We had reservations and were 30 minutes early. We sat down at the bar and ordered some drinks. The bartender wasn't particularly friendly, but ok. After we finished our cocktails we were escorted to our table. Our waitress was friendly, we got some water and ordered some drinks, but it took a very long time for the drinks to come. The Calvados riff on a Sazerac was way too sweet and the boulevardier wasn't anything to write home about. The appetizers also took a long time. We ordered the deviled eggs, which were very tart (or at least two out of there were) and the cheese puffs were lukewarm. Then the entrees came out; a $38 8oz flat iron steak with pepper sauce that was supposed to be medium cooked, but came out medium rare/rare and a $54 6oz petite filet that was supposed to be medium rare but came out medium cooked. The pepper sauce had a weird dish soap taste to it and the petit filet was cold. I sent the petit filet back and after a few minutes it came back heated up in the oven, but it was still lukewarm. I sent it back again together with the other steak because it was undercooked. The waitress was very apologetic and came back a few minutes later with two new steaks. We didn't want to make more ruckus, so we didn't say anything, but the 8oz was undercooked again, switched for a petit filet and came with butter instead of the pepper sauce. The 6oz was ok. $54 ok, no, but ok. In the meantime I had ordered a glass of wine which again took ages to come. Having a view at the bar I noticed a bunch of drinks standing to be picked up and brought to their respective tables for over 10 minutes, until some staff member started asking questions. Eventually our waitress poured the wine herself and brought it over.
She eventually apologized for the weird evening, which wasn't her fault, but still.
And while we were waiting for our check, someone was smoking on the back patio and left the door open, stinking up the restaurant. It's not that I want anything for free, but I felt some compensation (a dessert or comping a few drinks) would have been a gesture of trying to make up for a pretty bad experience that cost us $200.

Date night. The Couvant was suggested as a dinner experience before a private magic show at the Eliza Jane, in the same building. We arrived 10 minutes early for our 8:00 pm reservation and informed the server that finally came to the hostess desk that we had reservations to the show at 9:30. Twenty minutes later we were still waiting at the bar, manned by only one bartender, to be sat. There appeared to only be two servers, no hostess and certainly no manager. It was obvious that the staff was in the weeds. By 9:20 pm we had only received a salad, which was tasteless. Had we walked off the street looking for a pre-show dinner the experience would have been merely disappointing. But, as the Couvant was advertised as a compliment to a “magical' evening we decided to dine there, as my wife and I always wanted to visit the Eliza Jane hotel. After the show (which was exceptional) we walked to Caesars's casino to find a place that was still serving food. So, dinner for date night ended up being a slice of pizza at 11:30 pm. We will not be going back to the Couvant

We went at 12:30 and they had yet to mobilize their kitchen for lunch. After 25 minutes, they informed me that the soup we ordered was not available. Our food came about 45 minutes after ordering. The staff was unapologetic. Shrimp & Grits was really good. However overall experience was very lackluster.

OK, thanks our server. Jessica was absolutely fabulous. I would not miss the opportunity to spend time at this amazing luscious restaurant. Make sure you do. You will never forget it.
