I went in this morning and ordered chicken and waffles. I was not impressed. Because of the texture of my chicken i felt it was maybe under a heat lamp and not made fresh. I was never asked if i needed a refill. However the pancakes were pretty good no complaints there. Im not sure if ill give them another chance. I may or may not!

Layla is a sweet and friendly service. She made our first experience at Daisy Mae fun and memorable. She provided excellent service and went above and beyond to ensure my family had everything they needed while they dine in. The food here was excellent, and the drinks are strong.

My overall rating should've been 3.5 mainly because of the not-so-great service. However there are no 1/2 stars so I guess it's closer to 3. What I liked... 1. We were seated fast (place was a bit empty maybe coz it's not in the French Quarter) 2. The fried chicken was wow -- the batter was seasoned well and crispy, the chicken pieces were moist and delicious. 3. The alligator omelette was okay and lacked alligator sausage; the side of grits was tasty. 4. The place was clean. What I didn't like: 1. Service was lackluster. The server wasn't forthcoming when I ordered my omelette and requested a biscuit (an option on the menu). When my order was delivered to my table, it came with white toast. When I asked for my biscuit, she said that they didn't have any or they didn't offer it. That was disappointing. She also wasn't attentive in refilling our glasses and we had to call for someone's attention multiple times for anything.

This is a small, narrow restaurant close to everything. I had hot sausage po boy and red beans and rice. I loved the red beans, nice kick to it. I ate the hot sausage and left the bread - couldn't figure out how to make the sandwich work. Great service, great food. Would go again.

Prices are too high too much food for 1 person and that was not chocolate cake you need to learn what chocolate cake is and how to make it

A terrific spot for a meal, especially breakfast! The Daisy Mae sandwich is a unique item with their signature chicken and waffles with eggs and bacon, all combined into a sandwich. The gravy on the side is also incredibly flavorful. The biscuits and gravy was also a great dish.Would recommend!
