Have to apologize to all the staples out there but everyone needs to try these DaM Good charred oysters. Absolutely amazing. Better than any restaurant I've had. Naturally buttery, fresh, and not too much cheese or butter. Simple but decadent. I am definitely coming back for more. Also, the owners are extremely pleasant. Awesome first experience.

Easily the BEST po boy in St. Claude/Marigny area! The Vegan Eats is the bomb, and so is the shrimp! Make sure to ask for Dee's sweet and spicy sauce.

My spouse is omnivorous, and I'm vegetarian, but here's one place we agree upon wholeheartedly! The food is fresh-made to order, so it comes out piping hot (and faster than you'd expect); the gentleman who takes our requests and cooks them up is super-nice, too. DH's go-to order is the regular chicken wings, and he wishes he had multiple arms so that he could give them more than two thumbs-up. But since I'm writing the review, I'll rave about my favourite dish: the vegan platter. There's fried cauliflower, which is melt-in-mouth delicious, and the fried mushrooms are toothsome - chewy and substantial, not tough at all - while the French fries are the perfect accompaniment. The plate also comes with a spicy-sweet-tangy dipping sauce, which makes every bite even better. Usually when I eat fried food, I feel like I've swallowed a brick. But I have never had this problem with the vegan eats here; I always feel happy and satisfied with the meal, and whatever I can't finish reheats well the next day. In fact, here's how good qualifies as DaM Good: right now, I am mad at the weather. Because tropical storm/hurricane/whatever Barry and his slow-moving butt are keeping me from going out to get cauliflower bites. :P
