It's a pretty good hot dog. You're paying for the vibe of the place and the area as much as the food, but that's OK. It's not ridiculous. Cold water was self serve and complimentary and it seemed to be dog friendly, but maybe confirm that with staff. I also appreciated the variety of different programming on their tvs. Something for everyone if you have a TV watcher in your group. There is an air conditioned dining area and an outdoor dining area as well as pretty good restrooms. 👍

I stopped in for a burger. I ordered the Dat Burger with tater tots. There were around 12 people in the restaurant. It took 17 minutes for my order to be ready. They brought it out to me. The attached pic is how I received it. I got a handful of tater tots that had an odd flavor to them. The burger was cooked to a crisp and lukewarm. The cheese on top was cold, no lettuce, just onions, ketchup and mustard. I was very disappointed in the flavor and the 17 minute wait time.
The outdoor seating was nice.

Ordered deliver from here and the food was awful. The tots taste like stale bitter oil. The hot dog barely had any chili on it and was burnt. Won’t be back. They’ve really gone downhill

This place is great! First of all the outdoor dining area is huge! You could fit a hundred of your closest friends into it! Drink and food prices are very fair.
Man they got the best hot dogs. It was cruck up in there!!! Love it 😀

Went today after beautiful trip To art museum, I've had dat dog once in lakeside (been closed) should be okay well no only table in house took an hour for basic order , bathroom DEPLORABLE didn't want to touch sink food as bad as restroom burger dry over done crawfish etouffee dog not one crawfish soggy Tabasco water, no kids tender but the hotdog buns and basic hotdogs were underwhelming for cost and time , wasn't checked on and j even mentioned if they had 2 -3 tables people would walk out! Owner should be more attentive to how the spot is ran with such potential in neighborhood and menu unfortunately the food did not match discrpition or minimum expectations the cleanliness was alarming and service terrible
I had the rougaroo hot dawg and it was awesome! Their chili on the chili cheese tots was a tad spicy so heads up before you order those for kids. Great place with an awesome outdoor set up.

Worth every bit of my $$$. Ordered the alligator dog with relish, blackberry sauce, grilled onions and BBQ sauce and it didn't disappoint..the saugasage was fresh, hot and crisp. All the other ingredients were fresh and savory.
The attendant wasn't that friendly but sadly, these days, its hard to find enthusiastic workers..
I'll be back to try more options!

I am not typically a hot dog person, but Dat dog has changed my mind. You can find something for everyone here and the atmosphere is always so much fun. If you are adventurous PLEASE try “chef’s choice” when picking toppings. You won’t be disappointed!
