The food is delicious the service is fast . Restaurant is dated could use a lil picker upper some paint . but other than that definitely new Orleans staple that has been around a long time!
I’m a stickler for good gumbo and the seafood gumbo did not disappoint. The only suggestion I’d make is to strain the shells from the roux. I had to keep picking crab shell fragments out. The fried shrimp was divine.
Five stars, every time. We absolutely love Deanie’s on Hayne. The service is always fast, the staff is genuinely friendly, and the food is consistently excellent. It’s the kind of place that feels like home. Thank you for doing what you do and doing it right—this neighborhood is lucky to have you.
