The food was good, but a little fishy tasting for me. The crab balls and oysters were my favorite. I'm a westcoast girl so, of course our seafood isn't as fresh as theirs. Anyway I would absolutely recommend this place.

We were disappointed with the food. The crawfish were bland and overcooked. The seafood platter was not seasoned well and the seafood soggy and not crispy.

We made reservations for 7:45. We got there, sat down and immediately was asked, are y'all ready to order? We hadn't even sat for 2 minutes. Was disappointed they didn't have regular beer such as Bud or Ultra. We ordered onion rings as appetizer and a half platter for 4 of us. Then was told that if we wanted anything else to order it cause the kitchen was closing. Really? Then don't offer 7:45 reservations!! We were so rushed, I didn't enjoy the food. Then the onion rings came at the same time as the platter.

Perfect evening. Friendly service, plump-sweet crawfish (believe BEST I've ever had), generous platter of catfish put a smile on Marty's face! Great weather and pleasant walk from home 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This restaurant should be on open table. It's counter service, so I made a reservation that I couldn't use. I sure the food is fine, but I left b/c it was too crowded.

Oysters so big you had to cut in half to eat. Hot red potatoes instead of traditional bread at the start of meal. Freshly made memu items made on pLin sight.

I've been dining at Deanie's for a very long time but only at the Bucktown location. Decided to go here after a parade and the food was lacking. The catfish platter was half the size I've always gotten at the other location and the 3 soft shell crabs were what I would call miniature. The shrimp Po Boy did look large. The service was excellent, the dining room was very tight. Will just go back to Bucktown from now on...

Good food; good people. Enjoyed the food in this eatery with a heavy emphasis on fried seafood. The staff were particularly welcoming and efficient.

Excellent dining experience. Salad was very tasty, large portions.

Surface was fantastic! Fried food heaven. Several of us had the shrimp platter, which was good but kind of one note-typical for fried fish. One of us had the bbq shrimp. No bread b/c gluten allergy. Tasty-sort of(kind of greasy) but the big thing to note here is that the shrimp came with the head and tail on, and the shell was not removed. It was so incredibly messy, hard to get the heads off and the shells/tail removed and was so gross cleaning the yucky out of the shrimp if you know what I mean. It was really gross. They don’t mention the shrimp come fully in tact on the GF menu!! The dish would’ve been so much better if the shrimp were deveined and the shells taken off. Three of us having waters and three meals with an appropriate tip was $125. Yikes!

Came here for some seafood understanding that it's off season for a lot of fish. As I ordered the server kept trying to convince me to order other items. It seemed as though the kitchen/management was pressuring them to sell fried food only. After trying to tell me that what I ordered would take a while, they then came back saying they were out of what I ordered even though it was clear they knew all along. Could hear the same thing happening at tables near us as well. Do not recommend.
