Would have been 5 stars if it weren’t for the server who was condescending. Ribeye was absolutely the best steak I have ever eaten, and the crab cake was like no other. Great food!

Classic NOLA cuisine, up-scale vibe, and excellent service. We had the Turtle Soup, which was rich, meaty, and perfectly seasoned. The salad was fresh and crisp, with a good Caesar dressing. Thej Shrimp Ettoufe was also perfectly seasoned, with a nice spicy finish. The Bread Pufding dessert (with a Caramel sauce that's to die for!) was delicious with coffee. Highly Recommend! We'll be back when we're in NOLA again.

I can not say enough good things about Dickie Brennan's! The food is amazing and the service is second to none. Our amazing server went out of his way to meet the (very demanding) needs of my mother in-law and my 7 yr old autistic son. He even made sure to take his stuffed sea turtle's order and brought him a plate of fresh lettuce. I believe his name was Cody and he was the most amazing. Made the end of our long day magical!

I have to say that based on previous reviews that I expected a much more elegant dining experience. I found the dining room quite loud and distracting, not necessarily by other patrons but by the staff. Our server was attentive and provided good service however had stains all over their jacket and had an unkempt appearance. The food was disappointing, especially for the price. I chose the ribeye (medium rare) with the asparagus, I found the steak quite gristly although it had a good taste. The asparagus was tough and stringy, and without flavor. My wife chose the Filet (medium rare) with the loaded baked potato. Her steak was dry and tough. The potato seemed undercooked (probably microwaved) and tasteless. I had such high expectations and really wanted to like the place just because of its history. But I was seriously disappointed and left feeling as if I'd been bilked.

Prime rib and ribeye was cooked perfectly and paired very nicely with a wine suggested by the waiter. Service was exceptional.

Service was excellent, but unfortunately, I have had a better steak at the Ponderosa. Terrible cut of meat and because of that...cook didn't have a chance.

The service and food are not commensurate with the restaurant's reputation and pricing. I had to send my filet that ordered medium back not once but twice due it being raw on the inside. Service was meh and the bar was very cold in the evening and we had to leave our jackets on. So many better places for dinner to choose from. We will not dine there again.

Went with a party of six people, which we were happy they could accommodate without much notice. The service was rather subpar considering the lowest priced menu item was $50 without sides. One member of our party had to have a steak sent back three times due to an inconsistently sized steak compared to the rest of us and undercooked meat. I would more than likely not return, but again, you normally don't eat steaks in New Orleans

After weeks of anticipation, it turned out rather disappointing. Not to say the service was not good, it was a bit overwhelming at times. I prefer not to be disturbed every 3 mins.I had a Gumbo starter which was delicious. But I came for the steak and ordered the prime rib. The presentation was awesome, it looked perfectly seared and was cooked to perfection. The issue was it was probably the most bland piece of meat I've ever tasted. I don't usually use much sauce when eating a steak, but this time I had to use the whole lot. Lastly, was bit too much gristle. I know prime rib has more fat, but this was excessive. For the price, $60+ I was not impressed. Ok, but not worth price tag.

I've had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant twice in the past 6 weeks, as it was highly recommended. Both occasions were fantastic. Although a loud atmosphere, the food and service outweigh the noise. Anytime I visit New Orleans, I will make Dickie Brennan's a must.

Great place to have a nice dinner. I went with my wife and had a beautiful evening. Food was delicious and great menu to choose from. Jeffrey from Honduras was an excellent server. Heard our inputs and had offered exactly what we wanted. Definitely I would go back if I ever visit New Orleans again.

Always a great time. The waiter was very nice but could have been more helpful and informative. But I will definitely continue to come here. Perfectly located in the heart of the French Quarter.

We had a great experience at Dickie Brennan's. We received first class service from the moment we walked through the door. Our waiter Cornelius was superb and the food was scrumptious. We ordered crab cakes for an appetizer. We had a party of four and we all had the filet mignon special. The steak was cooked to perfection and the sides were excellent. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who values good food and service. Great job Brennans!

I went here when I was young and just came back for the first time, and it was still awesome! You can expect top-notch service, we were seated promptly and the food came out quick. It was not too loud for discussion, but everyone else seemed to have fun.The steak my wife got was excellent, well cooked and seasoned. The duck breast was great even if I think a little undercooked, and the flavors on everything were awesome. For dessert we had the mud pie and bread pudding, I would share the mud pie because it was very rich and large.
