If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. The ambiance is chill and the music is always good, but the staff is undesirable. I have chosen this location for my birthday for the past three years, bringing in a group of at least 20 people. I had a cake with me and was told we are not allowed to have food in there, which isn't stated on the website, but if we called, we could have had it in this room off to the side. I asked if we could go in that room since it was empty and was told no because we didn't call. I'm not rehashing everything and if something is a policy, I respect that, but the "manager" was extremely rude and literally told one of my friends he didn't care if we were upset and he didn't need our business. Instead of going here, I highly suggest walking across the street to the Roosevelt Bar.

Overpriced for what it was. No actual historical value. It used to be an icebox they turned into a "classy" lounge. It is quiet.

Billed as a "speakeasy", it isn't a "true" speakeasy. However, it does have a very intimate feel to it. Requires you to enter a seemingly nondescript door, travel down some steps to a private "underground" area. Still very cool, and atmosphere did have what I would imagine to be a very prohibition era secret drinking spot. Service was ok, but..everyone has bad days, and perhaps we caught the bartender on one of them, but overall was chill spot. Checked it out, stayed for one drink and moved on.

ITS UNDERGROUND! You know you are now excited to check this out. Cool vibe, cool temps(bring a sweater, it was an ice house after all), amazing history. Don't miss it... If you can find it that is! ;-)

We had a busser tonight who when I said we were going to keep our drinks, got in my face and threatened to kick me out of the bar! It was super confusing and upsetting, and I’m not sure what to do with it. Drinks were fine.
Very cool speak easy with great drinks and dark swanky 1920s atmosphere.

Everything about this bar was unwelcoming, rude and pompous. Very rude service. Very inexperienced bartenders who don’t know how to make a proper drink. Sad to see. There are a lot of good cocktails to be had in this city and this place does NOT have the goods. Try the Sazerac Bar at the Roosevelt right across the street for a perfectly crafted cocktail. Avoid this place unless you want to pay a lot and get very little. Exceptionally disappointing

Double Dealer is an absolute speakeasy gem in New Orleans. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with warm hospitality and a vibrant atmosphere that captures the spirit of the city. The cocktails here are a work of art, and what truly sets this place apart is the live jazz band. The talented musicians create an enchanting ambiance that's perfect for a night out with friends or a romantic evening. Their music adds an extra layer of magic to the experience, making it a true New Orleans gem.The blend of classic New Orleans charm with modern style in the decor and ambiance creates a unique and unforgettable experience. Whether you're a local or a visitor, Double Dealer is a must-visit spot that will leave you eagerly planning your next visit. ???

Nice chill spot to come to have drinks and conversation. Definitely a vibe and ducked off underground in New Orleans! There was live entertainment where you can sit at tables or on sofas and enjoy the ambiance. Service at the bar was swift and drinks were desirable.
Cool atmosphere, bad management
