Unique and fun experience. The desserts were 10/10! The ambiance is hip and trendy. The staff was super nice and offer a lot of great recommendations.

Very cool dessert bar. Colorful and dynamic decor that embodies NOLA culture. The vanilla bean affogato I got was very good. Pistachios complimented the taste well. Service was good, and the restroom was clean.

We tried the affogato dessert and it was really good but too pricey for a scoop or two of ice cream with a shot espresso on the side!

The place is beautiful, perfect for a date. Although is very expensive $18 for an 2 small scoops of gelato with a shot of a licor. I just don’t think is worth for a small desert that you barely can share it.

We had coconut cake, strawberry, pistachio, and world Fair. All were great. The strawberry was on another level in my opinion though.

Decadent. Memorable atmosphere and service. We treated ourselves to the affogatos flight with the Zulu, Voodoo You Do, and Banana Foster creations and it was simply delightful. All were 8-9/10 and would DEFINITELY come back for a luscious treat or sexy date l. Wonderful service as well.

There are no adequate words. The gelato was perfect, and the recommended pairings somehow enhanced perfection. The atmosphere lent levity to our evening. I encourage everyone to go, enjoy, indulge.

If you are looking for a spot with a cool vibe, good drinks, and delicious deserts look no further, Drip Affogato Bar is the spot. They have seasonal drinks so you always get something different, we recommend the Espresso Martini by Weezy. The interior design is next level with plenty of Instagram worthy moments. They even have a "Versace Hidden Room" with a record player and fireplace that you can reserve for you and your friends. Don't miss out on this cool NOLA spot.

Very neat idea for ADULT dessert dates. Not exactly my scene but the desserts and drinks are excellent. This is not a normal kids type ice cream shop. Expect booze, coffee, and a club atmosphere. Also if VERY loud Rap and Hip-Hop is not your scene, move on.Kid-friendliness: Take your younger kids elsewhere.

Edit: This is a rather sad display of immaturity on the owner's part. Everything I highlighted was conveniently ignored and the owner instead chose to tell me that I should seek professional help after I rather respectfully outlined the problems with this establishment. I hope anyone who reads the reviews for Drip Affogato will understand that this is not a place you'd want to support, as the owner will turn on you rather quickly if you dare say anything that isn't a compliment. It is no wonder this place has closed three separate times since its opening. May the next time be permanent. I will also be changing my review to one star....I randomly thought about this place the other day, how I really wish it would've worked out better because it was such a cute concept. My mom and I went not long after it opened the first time and it was great, if not a little expensive. Our second visit a few months down the line was definitely a downgrade; I'm not sure what was going on, but the store didn't have anything in stock. My mom's order of affogato didn't have the majority of the ingredients, so all she got was ice cream with stale wafers at full price, too. We had a similar experience the third time, too, but didn't order anything that time.Third time was from the other side of the glass: I noticed a job opening and was actually excited at the prospect of working here, because I was familiar enough with the place to want to work there. Instead, the hiring manager double-booked us for interviews and had me waiting out in the sun for 45 minutes. It was sometime in the summer, too, and we know how hot it gets down here. I eventually left. He eventually called and gave a very awkward apology about twenty to thirty minutes after I'd already departed. That, combined with the updated, touristy decor kinda hammered the last nail in the coffin for me. I was really sad with the repeated disappointing experiences, since I really wanted Drip Affogato to work out. Maybe it's a bit better now, under new management for what appears to be the third time, but I don't think I feel adventurous enough to give them another try, anymore.

I stumbled upon this charming spot one morning after breakfast, drawn in by its eclectic door and intriguing interior décor. Although closed at the time, the mention of gelato and affogato during my online search sealed the deal – I had to visit. After an early dinner, my husband and I made time for dessert, and we were not disappointed. The bustling atmosphere greeted us upon arrival, and we immediately knew we had to bring our children the next evening. The cheerful hostess welcomed us, and we marveled at the unconventional art pieces scattered throughout. The highlight? The captivating playlist featuring tracks from Tupac to Blackstreet to Gwen Stefani, curated by the owner himself, though sadly not available for download-yet. Our server Julia was prompt and attentive, ensuring a delightful experience. As for the affogatos, they were the crown jewels of the evening, presented with flair. My choice, the Ponchatoula Fest, was a symphony of flavors with basil and lemon adding a delightful twist to the strawberries. My husband's flight of Voodoo You Do and 84 World's Fair was equally satisfying, with each bite a perfect balance of textures and tastes. The following night, accompanied by our older children, we savored champagne and espresso martinis alongside another round of affogatos. The Gris Gris stole the show with its bruleed banana and bourbon infusion, while our son devoured the 84 World's Fair. Our daughter's Carbondale Mocktail provided a refreshing twist with its blueberry and lemon notes. Special mention goes to the owner, Jeremy, who graciously shared insights into the playlist and surprised us with a parting treat. In summary, a memorable experience filled with delightful treats and thoughtful touches, despite my failed attempt to obtain the coveted playlist. Cheers to a wonderful establishment!Dietary restrictions: Our server was careful to ask if either of us had any nut allergies just in case bc one of the dishes had nuts. We didn't, so it a moot point.Kid-friendliness: Very early in the evening I see no prob having younger ones there, but this is definitely for a more mature audience. I also venture to say that those who patron the place would prefer not having little kids there either.

Walked by one morning after bfast and it caught my eye w the eclectic door and intriguing décor inside. It was closed so it intrigued me more. I had to look it up. The minute I saw gelato & affogato it was love at first look-up. I knew we had to go. Had an early dinner so we made time for dessert. It did not disappoint. We arrived & it was already hopping. The 1st night it was just me and my husband. We knew we had to bring our 2 children the next evening (one is in college on spring break & the other a high school sr). The hostess was cheerful & pleasant. There was so much to look at all over the place. It was so fun to see unconventional items being used as art. The armoire in the back corner was beckoning me to go check it out bc it seemed to open to a secret room. There was already a party in there, but if there wasn't, daggone, I would have wanted to take a peek! AND THEIR PLAYLIST!!! It was the BEST! So good in fact, I asked Julia (our server) who put it together. I wanted to download it! She told me the owner (I'll get to this later) did, and it should* be public on iTunes. I couldn't find it on any platform. I was quite bummed. Seriously, it was that good! Tunes from Tupac, Kodak Black, Lil Wayne, Blackstreet, Usher and even Gwen Stefani only to name a few. It was electric! Julia was prompt, accommodating & attentive. She answered our questions & seemed to really enjoy her job. Even the bussers were attentive and took initiative. Loved seeing them working hard and liking their work! They even had a lipstick-kiss print on their aprons. Cool details! Once the crown jewels (affogatos) were delivered to our table- we were delighted! The table presentation was *chef's kiss*! I tried the Ponchatoula Fest this time with decaf espresso and my husband chose a flight of two: Voodoo You Do and 84 World's Fair. Shout out to my choice. I could have that every night. It was the best strawberry affogato I have EVER had. I didn't know what to expect with the basil in the dish, but it was a perfect addition and enhanced the flavor of everything . It didn't steal the show so the strawberries were still the main character. The shortbread cookie was a perfect topping & the entire dish left me wanting more, yet I was completely satisfied. I tasted a small bit of my husband's dbl flight- the Voodoo You Do with regular espresso was a darker chocolate gelato & the cacao nibs & toasted almonds had a delightful little crunch in every bite. The perfect ratio. The 84 World's Fair was a calmer, smoother touch to the palette with its nod to tiramisu & the mascarpone whipped cream a perfect topping with two lady fingers. Again, each bite was delicious & we could see why it's a popular choice. Second night we brought the kids (mind you, they're older). I got a glass of champagne & husband an espresso martini. Gotta taste it all- the martini was delish & mixed well. One can never mess up with Champagne and this time was no different. This visit, I chose Gris Gris. This & the Ponchatoula Fest are my favorite. If there's fruit, I will choose it. The bruleed banana in the Gris Gris was soooo good and perfectly crunchy. The caramel drizzle a very good choice for a topping but the star of the show came when I poured the bourbon over it. The flavors were ahhmazing. Our son got the 84 World's Fair and it didn't disappoint. He scarfed it down! Husband chose Voodoo You Do again as an encore and daughter got a Carbondale Mocktail. It was refreshing, had a tastebud tickle with the blueberry & bitters. The lemon added a fun explosion. So now to the thoughtful and brilliant owner, Jeremie. I asked our server this 2nd night (I don't remember her name, she was nice, but a little slower to respond & not nearly as attentive as Julia the 1st night) about THE Playlist. She didn't know anything except the fact that he was there & would probably know what I was asking about. He immediately came over & gave us some in
