Landry was our waiter and he was the best of the best! He kept us laughing and was able to anticipate what we needed before we asked. I hope to see him next year when we come back thru town. The beer is cold the food is amazing and the atmosphere is stellar!!!

We were nearby and they were open. Maybe it was just a bad day, but we were served cold gumbo, and fried shrimp on bare bread. Even the iced tea was not good, clearly not steeped. I hate to think that tourists think this food is representative of NO. On that day, it was not.

Busy game day. Counter service only. Kitchen forgot to make my order. Told the bar after the rest of my party had finished eating and they didn't own up to it and were pretty lazy about dealing with it. Bun was cold on my burger and burnt & tasteless. Overall pretty horrible experience. Everyone else enjoyed their meals and the prices are good. So that gained back the two stars.

While visiting New Orleans we went here twice and had two completely different experiences. The first was fine, got a fried chicken bacon wrap which served the purpose of getting food in us for the long day ahead. Nothing special, nothing terrible. However we came back the next night because we were starving and wanted a quick bite. After being told we had to order at the bar upstairs we were then told that the kitchen was backed up and they would have to wait 20 minutes to put our order in. Which we were fine with. After an HOUR, our “waitress” came out to tell us they were out of bacon for our fried chicken wraps (yes we order the same item as the day before). We said fine will it be much longer? No it shouldn’t be she said. Close to two hours after we sat out food finally came out. Everything was stone cold. We asked for a manager when she came out she was argumentative, rude and unhelpful. She questioned if the fries were really cold to which my wife said have one and tell me. She said the wrap was supposed to be cold and when we told her we just had them yesterday and it was not cold the wrap had even been slightly grilled the day before she basically said it shouldn’t have been and they messed up yesterday. She cut my wife off as she was talking and we told her if she wasn’t going to be helpful or even slightly apologetic she could leave. We ate because we were starving. As we checked our selves out were informed that some of the bill had been discounted due to our experience. We paid and left but the discount did not make up for the lack of communication, the rudeness and the terrible food. 3 of the people at our table have been in the food service industry for years with two of us having been managers. the way we were treated and talked to were unacceptable and i cannot recommend you avoid this place enough.

Cheapest beer and best food you're going to find right off Canal. Do yourself a favor and get the Creole Nachos as an appetizer when you're here.
