Giving one star because oysters were superb. Everything else was mediocre. Had the bayou platter, cold and rice and beans were unsavory with a weird taste, bbq shrimp po boy had no flavor at all and jambalaya pasta was also less than average. Not worth the money or time wasted in standing in line.
Service was slow and probably the reason why food was cold.

Waiting in line to be seated is worth it. First taste of gumbo and I was in heaven. Blackened alligator was perfect for my very first time trying it and the PoBoy was great. EVERYTHING was amazing. Staff was super nice and friendly and the atmosphere of this place felt like coming out from a movie to me. A party happening on the streets, and the bustle of the restaurant felt like a magical experience. While waiting in line some waiters came to us to level up that energy and even danced and sang for us. I can’t wait to come back.

This is by far our favorite restaurant in New Orleans. Food was delicious and the service was wonderful (wish I would have gotten our waitress’s name). Chef came to check on the table as well. Overall best food, service & consistency both times.

Do not make this your first choice!! I would go to any of the nearby oyster bars instead. Oysters were okay but everything else is horrible. Cocktails were watered down and the main dishes did not match the descriptions. They looked like a warmed up tv dinner. We only ate because we stood in line for so long and were hungry. The waitress was dismissive when we mentioned it. We spoke to a manager who only asked if we still ate the food and never returned to apologize, instead she told the waitress to take 10% off our bill.

We were waiting in line and the manager came outside and took the people who just got out into line to be seated first on the other side of the restaurant. We were waiting for 20 minutes! We finally sit down after half an hour maybe and the drinks were watered down. The place smells like fish and looks like a diner. This isn’t fine dining.
We got our food and It looks like frozen veggies with a small piece of fish on top. This is priced $30 and it looks like I could have made it for $5 in my home. We ordered the Atlantic salmon. We also ordered the scallops and there were 4 scallops and snap peas which was barely any food for $36!!!
Very deceiving and over priced. DO NOT GO HERE.

LAURA, our server, was a blessing to the end of our night. She was very attentive, friendly and pleasant. She consistently checked on our table and handled all of our requests in a timely manner. She's a lovely young lady with a drive to make sure all of her customers are well taken care of. Laura, thank you!

Came back 2x during our stay. Chargrilled oysters are to die for. Bayou platter sample was perfect sampler. My favorite was the red beans and rice and jambalaya. Both dishes packed such a great smokey flavor. Long line outside, but seated within 15 minutes. Food was slow to come out; however, they were overwhelmed with the crowd. Server Cody was wonderful and polite. A must if you are in NOLA!

Great food at a competitive price. Our service wasn’t fantastic however, which was a little disappointing.

ON THE HALF-SHELL (Fresh Gulf Coast Oysters Served With Cocktail Sauce)
Right off Bourbon in the heart of the French Quarter. You won’t go wrong here. Excellent Cajun dishes.

The old restaurants in the French Quarter draw you in. Their warm lighting and opulent high ceilings offer a sanctuary from the neon lights and bumping music on Bourbon street. To me, the corner of Iberville & Bourbon is one of the only places in the world that can sustain this sharp juxtaposition. Felix's is one of these places that will draw you in, and worry not - this is no siren song. You will enjoy an excellent meal.
The portions are small and the service isn't excellent (especially when they are busy) but this meal will fill your cup and be restorative so you can get back out there and party.
