visited this spot because it was ranked the number one pizza place in New Orleans by Dave Portnoy. I’ll start by saying that New York-style pizza has never really been my favorite, but I figured if any place could change my mind, it would be this one.
We ordered a traditional pepperoni pizza. The pepperoni was great—nice and crispy—and the crust had a solid, crispy undercarriage. That said, the overall flavor didn’t stand out much to me. It tasted pretty similar to other NY-style pizzas I’ve tried in the past.
One tip: the restaurant is very small, so if you plan to dine in, I recommend going during non-peak hours to avoid the wait.
Fantastic pizza
Best pizza ever put in my mouth 🥵
Cheers 🍻🍺🍻🍺
As for the bartender—vibes were immaculate. Cool, welcoming, and poured up a drink that matched the pizza’s energy: strong, smooth, and unforgettable. No fake smiles or script talk—just real, laid-back energy and good convo if you wanted it.
$8.21 (with tip) for 1 slice of Italian stallion pizza add burrata cheese. Way over priced for pizza by the slice. Since being reviewed by Dave Portnoy the slices are getting smaller and smaller with all business boom. Disappointing for locals who supported prior to their moment of fame!! Couple of weeks ago stopped by and had a Makers Mark Old Fashioned $22.00 with a tip. Yep, won’t be buying a cocktail there again. Those are fancy hotel cocktail prices at a counter service pizza parlor . No thanks
Best pizza in Louisiana, great service and a fantastic place!
Very good pizza cooked perfect. I would give it a 8.1
Dave Portnoy was right! There was a line forming before noon on a Thursday. Worth it!
The best pizza I have ever had in my life. I tried all non meat options absolutely amazing
Best Pizza in the country

Saw portnoy’s review and decided to try it. Got the original sin pie and if I’m being honest, it was good and crispy but not much cheese and sauce on it Loved the light dough but disappointed it didn’t have more to it St. Pizza and Zee’s were better. I’ll try it again but I’m hoping it lives up to the hype.

Barstool Pizza Dave Portnoy is right, this is SPECTACULAR PIZZA......the vid aired a week ago and judging by the reviews, business went sky high overnight.....Original Sin and Meaty pie are amazing.....pizza by the slice is so OLD SCHOOL GENIUS......definitely a new extremely awesome experience
Any human being who tries to say this pizza is not good is so wrong...Thanks to Dave Portnoy, another Diamond discovery of a pizza spot 😉 😀

Saw daves review and thought like many.....looks like an easy 9+. Let me say that the staff here is wonderful. The owner was polite and handing out beers/drinks. The female manager was calmly handling the increased business exceptionally well. Id support them down the road just based on this alone. The pizza: Waited 30 mins at 2pm for 2 slices that looked incredible. Unfortunately, it didn't hit the mark. What was initially a crispy crust turned very chewy quickly. Can't ever say I've had dense crust on thinner styles. The cheese was overbaked. Saw a review talking about the large amount of grease held in the cupped pepperonis. I'd agree with this 100% but not something that bothered me personally. The pepperoni was delicious.
Left wondering if I'd go back based on the toughness of the dough. I'll probably give them time for the business to scale back a bit and give them a second chance.

Quality here has been overblown. It’s good pizza but Zee’s, Mid-city, Nola Mia, and Pizza D are better - no question.
Dave Portnoy scored an 8.3 with Zee’s and Pizza D under 8. Your boy has gotten soft. Anything over 8 here is a generous score.
That being said, it was slammed, took an hour to get a pie and people were happy AF.
Sprinkled fresh Parmesan on the reheated slice was a nice touch but also a cheap gimmick. By the way, the wait for a reheated slice is bonkers - need to lock down efficiency here.
AND reheat value at home is trash and this pizza cold is not good. Major points off. However, if your goal is to grab a hot slice in the CBD, this is it 100%.
I will reserve my hard opinion for a few months from now when the craze has died down some. Hoping the quality suffered due to high demand and lack of oven space, not choice of ingredients and method.
Atmosphere was classic NY grab a slice and go. They keep a lot of their pizzas by the slice ready on the counter which all the other spots I mentioned earlier do not - that definitely gets points on traditional NY spot scale.
Thanks for bringing more good pizza into the city, but it can be better. 10 years ago this would have been a candidate for the best. At this point, it’s not much more than adequate.
Cost may reflect CBD rent, but definitely does not reflect quality.
