Recently I decided to visit my place of birth that I have been away from for a few years.

There is no city that has the culinary diversity and taste like New Orleans.

One of the restaurants on my list to dine on my short visit was Frankie and Johnny’s.

A neighborhood delight both in the food selections and service.

I limited my order to their In House made Onion Rings and a Shrimp Po-Boy.

A heavenly delight that was slowly devoured.

My friend and I were also given the time to meet and talk during the lunch without any push to leave.

This is a neighborhood gem and there is a free parking lot next to the building. In addition street parking is never a problem.

Stopped by on our way out of NOLA & this was just the food we needed. Poboy + gumbo combo is a perfect meal for the road.

We stumbled upon this hidden gem looking for somewhere to eat. The feel of a neighborhood pub with delicious food. Our waitress, Terry was a doll. My husband and I had the special of the day Fried Catfish with shrimp maque choux. Highly recommend it.

Don't tell any tourists, they won't like it anyway.
Just a cool neighborhood bar/restaurant with seafood worth driving for.

My family and I wandered in to find what I think is probably a neighborhood jewel. It had the feel of a pub and the food was good. We had the charbroiled oysters and a cup of the gumbo. The children had chicken and grilled cheese. The artichoke appetizer wasn't for us, but the staff removed it from my ticket no problem. The staff was also friendly with my children. Everyone was full and happy.

Had a delicious po boy. The large is huge and could probably feed 2 or 3. So worth it

Our Cajun Encounters bus driver Derek recommended this place as his #1 favorite spot and he wasn’t wrong. The food was fresh and incredible. The charbroiled oysters, red bean sausage, grilled shrimp, the chicken gumbo. None of of food was a miss.

My freind and I went this summer for a crawfish boil. They tasted fine but he and I both got awful food poisoning. I was so sick I couldn’t sleep that entire night because I kept having to use the restroom. Will not be going back there and will likely ask for a health inspection to be done.
