Small unassuming hole in the wall restaurant with phenomenal muffalletta. The roast beef Po’Boy was delicious also. This place was recommended by one of our tour guides as one of the best places to get a Po’Boy. It did not disappoint.
I dunno. I don’t get it. Our concierge told us these were the best in town bar none and he was right on everything else he suggested, except this. We had the alligator sausage and voodoo shrimp po boys. The bread was good, sandwich as a whole seemed over rated and a lousy setting. Oh well. We found some we loved at Napoleon house, half block away.
This place was repeatedly mentioned in guides to NOLA, but a tour guide recommendation pushed us to it—and it was well worth it! I’ll be dreaming of the sauce from the “Voodoo Shrimp Po-Boy” for a while!
