This was a memorable dinner for me. As the server for the evening, Rosiland (or Rosalind - as I’m borrowing the spelling from the check) set the tone for what was to follow. She was so kind and engaged so easily in helping me find my journey across the menu. As many reviews already called out, I can attest that the BBQ Shrimp Pie was life changing. No review can do it justice. If you’re not allergic to shellfish, just do it and enjoy the reward. I’ll be bringing friends and family back for certain.

Stopped in and grabbed two gumbos to go
Bartender was friendly and helpful and the place looked really nice inside
The guinea hen and sausage gumbo was amazing and had the color roux I was looking for
The seafood gumbo was also delicious and had a very pleasant seafood forward flavor
Highly recommend

Rosalind was outstanding, very attentive to the kids and her recommendations were spot on. 1st time having gumbo so nothing to compare it to but it was delicious, the kids liked it too. I had the Veal and it was very good. My oldest loved lemons and she really liked the lemon pie and the youngest liked the ice cream.

Overall experience was good with great service but 3 of 4 dishes were way too salty.

Dining at Gabrielle was an absolutely amazing experience. From start to finish, every dish was rich with flavor and prepared with obvious care.

We began with the baked oysters, crawfish enchiladas, and shrimp bisque—each appetizer was outstanding. The oysters were fresh and baked to perfection, the crawfish enchiladas were creamy and packed with bold Louisiana flavor, and the shrimp bisque was velvety, well-seasoned, and deeply satisfying.

For the entrée, the sea bass stole the show. It was expertly cooked—flaky, tender, and beautifully balanced with its accompaniments. Every bite was delicious.

The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was attentive without being intrusive. Gabrielle truly captures the essence of New Orleans cuisine with elegance and soul. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable, flavor-packed dining experience

Always a solid place. Excellent food. Try it all. It’s great. But special shout outs to the BBQ Shrimp pie, tratieur fish, duck, crawfish enchilada, and, of course the Guinea hen gumbo.

My friend and I went here for dinner tonight. The beet salad was very good and my duck was excellent. Our waiter was nice but the woman or brought our food wasn’t friendly and made us feel a little rushed. The atmosphere is nothing special. The food at this restaurant is good but I’ve had other good food at better restaurants in New Orleans. Apparently this place is known for their gumbo. It didn’t impress me. I think the gumbo at Commander’s Palace is better. This is a good restaurant, but not exceptional.

Out of all the restaurants in all the states we have been to, this has been the best! From appetizer to dessert, we were blown away! My wife and I started with gumbo as an appetizer, and as Louisiana residents this was the best gumbo my wife and I have ever had! The main courses were both out of this world, the presentation of the dish was perfect and the portion size was just right. Afterwards we ordered bread pudding and it was absolutely perfect! The whip cream was light and fluffy, the bread pudding had the right amount of flavor to it and the apples just put it over the top. The service was also top notch! The atmosphere was a perfect combination of upscale, homey and swanky. If you are looking for a perfect all around restaurant, look no further!
BTW the other review that said the Gumbo wasn't good was just a couillon!
