We were staying nearby and after a less than comfortable experience at another bar, we wandered into the GDP. The server was friendly. We also enjoyed the atmosphere and had a good conversation with a couple near us. Definitely would come back again!
Such a perfect neighborhood bar with great natural light in the middle of the day, and a couple of big screens with games on so inclined to watch.
Everything was very clean and there’s a real sense of care of ownership in the space.
We had a great bartender with a good selection of local beers and cocktails if necessary.

They don’t serve food, but the drinks are delicious. The French 75 and the old-fashioned represent. Quintessential New Orleans bar scene. If you wanna take it all in authentically stop by this place and have a drink.
