My colleagues (5 of us) and I had a great meal here. We came by on a Sunday night at 8pm and we were able to sit immediately. The Jungle Bird cocktail was delicious, as were the pizzas we tried. The dough was perfectly chewy and charred. We had a lemon dessert that was delicious The hazelnut dessert stole the show, so creamy and rich.

We walked in and sat at the bar because we were told the earliest seat we could get was over 1.5hr wait. It’s a Thurs night and we had no reservation so that’s not unusual- sign of a good restaurant, right? At no point while we were there (almost til 8) did the restaurant even approach 2/3 full. Maybe a bunch of no shows? Or maybe it’s because the food just wasn’t good.We started with the Provola sausage appetizer that was OK, but tasted kind of lemony - maybe the oregano was just way too heavy? But the sausage definitely didn’t stand out. Then, after over a 25 min wait including us promoting the bartender to check, I had spaghetti fra diavolo. I expect a little spice in fra diavolo, but it was pure black pepper that I tasted. No tomato, chili, basil or lemon. The shrimp were rubbery to boot. Did not finish. And we had paesano potatoes. The Parmesan was past the point of melting to nearly burnt on, there was no rosemary or garlic flavor. It didn’t even taste like it had salt or pepper (maybe they ran out after the spaghetti…).And to top it off, the service was not good. We had to prompt them to check for our food after we had been sitting for 25 min. Generally when sitting at the bar, the bartender will check on your drinks to see if you like them - esp when one has an empty cocktail glass. Not tonight at Gianna.Dietary restrictions: Very limited gluten free options

Fantastic restaurant. We went here for a business dinner with some colleagues from Italy! They heartily approved. Service was fantastic and the wine selection was decent. They even had a selection of grappa for after dinner!
It’s good but not so good one. We ordered ricotta gnocchi which is very good but the margarita pizza is average due to the lack of cheese. It can be improved if you say we are Italian!Anyway, still good choice in New Orleans!

Wonderful atmosphere. Delicious cocktails beautifully presented, and food great. The rocotta Gnocci was my favorite. See photos. Specialty mushrooms and the cream sauce was to the tooth.

Fantastic food preparation..great presentation and lovely on spot service...very pleasant..
Visiting from out of town, and I can’t tell you how happy I am we stumbled into this place. Alison is incredibly nice and helpful (giving us a full schedule of things to do), and from the managers to the chefs, everyone was accommodating. And to top it all off - the food is unreal. The focaccia? A must. The pizza? A must. Anything else? Probably a must too, idk.10/10!!

Really good Italian restaurant just outside of the French Quarter. We ordered the “Feed Me” chef’s choice meal and it was awesome. For our party of 5 it came with 4 courses with plenty of food. We also added the wine paring and were served 3 different bottles of wine. We were stuffed and very satisfied at the end of the meal. Such a fun experience and good value!
Very busy restaurant and I can see why. The food here is excellent as we're the staff. Nice atmosphere. Great place.

We were curious as to whether this was just another Italian place. However, we found it a thoughtful mix of gulf coast proteins/flavors into Italian dishes. Even without the tasting menu, Stefan and the bar staff were able to provide some fantastic pairings.

We went for dinner but they said 2 hour wait for a table. We were offered seats at the bar for dinner. However, they had us sit at 2 spacious tables waiting to be seated. We didn't want to eat dinner at the bar shoulder to shoulder with everyone else. Not sure why there was a 2 hour wait when half the tables were empty. We waited 15 minutes and then stood outside for another 15 minutes trying to find somewhere to go, and the tables were empty the whole time. We could have ordered and been done in that amount of time.

Ended up here post-parade and couldn't be more pleased. The veal dish and wine pairing were phenomenal, will be visiting again soon!
