The service here was sooooo slow. Spent 2 hours there but the food was really good! Order the alligator half fried half blackened. SO YUMMY! The shrimp and crawfish pasta comes with sooooo much seafood which is amazing! Shrimp po'boy is okay. Really yummy gumbo!

I used Uber eats for delivery which was fine. Got the half and half seafood platter with Cajun fries. This was a waste of money. I would not feed this food to the homeless. The shrimp are salty and wayyy overcooked. The Cajun topping for the fries was cold and terrible. Oh and don't get me started on the hushpuppies. Can't even bite a piece off. What the world? Even the prepackaged tartar and cocktail sauce are bad . I think I might vomit. I refuse to taste the coleslaw that looks like someone ate half. Save your money. They sealed this stuff in plastic wrap I guess for food safety reasons which added to the sogginess. I appreciate that effort m, but the taste is wrong n so many levels. Disappointed The iPhone makes the food look like it might taste good. Nooo

Old French Qtr feel?? CHECK. Smart, friendly, helpful service?? CHECK. Reasonable prices?? CHECK. The cuisine??? RIDICULOUS. Try the TASTE OF NOLA sampler of favorites: gumbo, ettouffee and red beans (best red beans ever). MARDI GRAS PASTA is creamy with a subtle but definite Cajun twist. Wish we had room for more dishes.

You're missing out on great food and wonderful customer service. I ordered crab cakes, a side of crawfish etouffee, and their amazing mustard greens. I promise you will love them! I want to thank the host at the door for his hospitality while we waited. He was going over the menu with us. Lastly, I must give our server Karmen a shot out, she is amazing in making sure we had what we needed while navigating the other guest tables. The food was hot!! Go to Nola Cookery you will not be disappointed. Sorry no pics I was too eager to eat.

Our recent visit to this place was OK but nothing spcial. Good: 1. This plae is small with maybe twenty tables - narrow and deep, like many old city businesses. We felt fortunate to get a small table by the front windows that looked out into the street - great for watching the human flow on Bourbon Street outside. 2. Food quality was decent for an obvious touristy place. Bad: 1. Service was friendly but very slow. Maybe that's the south and maybe that's N.O. style, but we were ahead of the main dinner crowd, the place wasn't full yet and it was still glacial. 2. Most annoying is the unethical practice of printing pre-calculated tips on the receipt based on total charges, not the subtotal. You don't base a top on sales tax - what tid the government doo to warrant a top? This is clearly an attempt to trick customers into overtipping. We won't be back.

Loved the jambalaya pasta! I've never had ANYTHING like it. My friend got the taste of New Orleans platter and enjoyed it as well. Portions here are huge and filling. The restaurant is much like a dive bar; Our server Guy was very personable and even though there was a line out the door we didn't feel rushed in our dining experience. Only issue was that there were a lot of fruit flies, not sure if this is a general city problem or that of the establishment

Right on Bourbon Street! There was always a line so I knew I needed to try it. I got the Taste of New Orleans which includes red beans and rice, gumbo, and étouffée. My favorite of the 3 -étouffée! Amazing flavors. Give this place a try.

Although a well visited spot in Nola and very busy when we went, I felt the food was average quality. If you go, plan on waiting for a table. They utilize every square inch with tables crowding the small downstairs area. We went at 10pm and the place was crowded with a line of people waiting. Service was friendly to begin with, but after ordering, our server vanished. I had the bbq shrimp, the gravy was good but the shrimp were overcooked. Staff never checked on us until we were done so my friend never got the side dish she ordered.

To me this one was just okay. Had the crawfish étouffée but it barely had any crawfish and was lacking flavor in my opinion. I also tried the BBQ shrimp which were very tomato-forward and came with dinner rolls instead of the usual and advertised French bread. Service was good though.

One of the BEST places to eat in NOLA. Prices are very reasonable. Service was fast and food was delicious!

We were in the mood for fried seafood. This place had great reviews and I now know why! We had the Seafood platter and it was enough for two, possibly three adults. UNLIKE most platters I have eaten, this was mostly seafood ( shrimp, crawfish, catfish and oysters) and NOT french fries. Oh yes there were fries, but I have never had so much seafood instead of fries. The cruch was perfect, loved the seasoning and it came out quickly. We went during the day and so there was no wait in late February. The manager came by to check on us. We had a special drink that was delicious and even got to keep the cup. Our waitress was Lacey, a happy, enthusiastic young lady who brought us everything we needed and wanted with a smile and great energy! This was one of our best meals during our 4 day stay! One last comment about Bruce at the door, our host! This man has a heart of gold, a contagious attitude, loves his job, loves his neighborhood on Bourbon street and is good to tourists and locals alike. He had a great sense of humor and abounding kindness. I would encourage anyone eating here to take your leftovers and give them to someone on the "street". You will run a cross a few somewhere, sometime along the streets of the French Quarter. You most likely will have food left over from this GREAT RESTAURANT! We also liked the way it was decorated and the ease to walk there. Bon Appetit Y'all!

We sat at the bar two days in a row and the bartenders were on point. The first day we just had drinks. The local bottled beer was pretty good. The second day, we ordered the Gator Tail Bites and the Taste of New Orleans which included red beans and rice, crawfish etouffee, and seafood gumbo. Everything tasted great! Not too salty or spicy. The roux was not too thick and very flavorful! The gator bites were tender and juicy and the sauce it was served was delicious. It was just what we needed to satisfy our NOLA cravings.

Wonderful Nola meal and Sophie was a total delight! Fried gator for desert and bread pudding for dessert!

Ended up eating here due to the restaurant being able able to handle a big party of 8. The service was incredible and the hostess and waitress were accommodating to our needs. One of our party wanted coffee during dinner and the waitress fulfilled his wish. Moving on to the food, etouffee which was hearty, retained a good balance of texture and thoroughly rich with Cajun flavoring. Definitely a place to check out for a variety of Nola offerings.
