Coffee and pastries are fine. Food is consistently terrible.

Very weak coffee (cold brew that resembles the color or tea and taste of water) and somewhat combative, non-friendly service on most recent visit.

20$ for a bagel and a tea and the bagel is a finger size?! On top of that it’s also older than my grandma. This is unacceptable. I drove 10 min to get the breakfast here and this is the breaking I get.

Very unfortunate, this place used to be great. The manager is extremely rude and it took over 30 minutes to get my food (with only 2 patrons in front of me). The Gracious at St Charles ave is run a lot better - quicker service, nicer folk.

Go for the baked goods, not the coffee.

The galette king cake is maybe the best "traditional" French variant in town of the traditional New Orleans king cake - a flaky almond filled cloud, not the dense sugary New Orleans variety. Okay, no, as a follow-up to the original review, it's a very close third best galette in town. It's the French Galette des Rois, but don't ask the help if this is a "traditional" king cake. They'll say no. I suppose it's a question of what the word "traditional" means, but I chalked it up to a lack of training and an ability to upsell the goods.

But the coffee? I saw mocha listed on the menu board, which inspired in my imagination the fragrant espresso-driven rich chocolate version produced by French Truck coffee shops. Instead, bad watery American coffee with a squirt of chocolate and barely a tablespoon of milk. Undrinkable, really. I left convinced that I should never again buy coffee from a place that doesn't specialize in coffee.

Stick to the baked goods.

Three very rude women and one incompetent cashier. Why be in a service industry with that attitude? We didn't order anything complex, only pastries and black coffee. After literally 10 people received their order I had to interrupt the line to ask about my / our orders. Had to ask again about the order for another in my party, and on and on. Eventually even had to ask about the coffees. The rude lady rushed to give them to me, didn't place the top properly and of course the coffee spilled all over. Just WOW. Hopefully there's actually adult supervision somewhere in this business.

The few things I tried have been delicious but unfortunately the service is not great. I ordered 2 twists and a chicken hand pie. The twists were flaky on the outside, soft on the inside and absolutely worth a trip to this bakery. Unfortunately no clue how the hand pie tasted because I never got it. My order was to go and when I opened it at home instead of the hand pie they gave me a piece of quiche. It was very tasty just not what I ordered. I think it was an onion quiche. Crust was deep brown and flaky. I went back a second time (checked my order before I left) and got chicken salad on croissant. Again absolutely delicious. Large chunks of chicken, not overdressed with almonds and I think grapes. Great flavor and the croissant was also good. Service is not terribly friendly but the food is worth overlooking that.

The two times I’ve been in the shop the service has been terrible. I’ve literally been yelled at by the barista. Ordered online six times in the last three months, once has it made it to my house and when it did it was wrong and The other FIVE TIMES they’ve cancelled it. Too overpriced, poorly run, and not good enough to bother with
