Fist stop in New Orleans and food was good. Lindsey recommended the gumbo which was delicious. Service from Lindsey was excellent and she recommended some other spots to visit while here.

Everything was delicious. Even chicken and rice for the dog. Are you kidding?! Our server was lovely, tall red-head! We had most of the dishes on the menu and all were flavorful and divine. They were also super accommodating to our large group- thank you!!!

Glad I made time for a quick stop in for lunch. Gumbo so rich you can still taste it minutes later. Oyster pie was very tasty and unlike anything I've had before. Great staff and service.

Food was very good, service was great, got the chicken and dumplings and the seasonal salad, was lovely to have something fresh after a few days of fried southern staples and back of comedy showroom dominos pizza, walking back to french quarter I give whomever maintains the sidewalks zero stars, if they buried people underground here I'd suggest getting ghostbusters to see if folks were trying to escape, was like the set of an earthquake disaster movie, but it is character that makes New Orleans special, never change!

Nice restaurant however, I don’t appreciate it when I asked to sit outside on the upper balcony (There were open tables) and I am told by the hostess that they cannot do that due to reservations. It was @2:00 PM The tables remained open during our entire meal. Clearly no reason for this and I would not consider going back simply because of a rude hostess. Our server was great and the food was very good as well.

How delightful it is to be a tourist and yet treated like a regular! Our visit began with a warm welcome from staff and from wonderful server Grace. Beautiful Grace even took the time to explain all the menu items and even made us a handwritten list of great local music! The food was all delicious and lovely to look at. We loved the balcony and the cozy bar upstairs. Lots of interesting details in the decorations which made it feel even more welcoming. Everyone was very good at what they did. It was such a nice memory we got tee shirts (and more) at the cute shop next door. I have to mention the ice cream...twice as good as any we have ever had. Anywhere. Gratitude for Gris Gris!

We wandered into Gris Gris looking for good food. The menu caught our eye and we were not disappointed.
We sat downstairs at the kitchen bartop and the atmosphere was great. As the kitchen staff prepped for the dinner rush the vibe was fun. The chef gave us a little taster of the Flambeaux Shrimp which was delicious.
Our server, Thyme, was absolutely amazing. She had such great energy, gave us solid dinner recommendations, and was very fun to talk to. She also gave us other local restaurant recommendations for our trip and answered some of our NOLA questions. Thyme had the most energetic and contagious vibe we've met so far!
We had the chicken and andoullie gumbo as a starter. It had a dark rich roux and was very meaty and delicious.
I ordered the Chicken and dumplings which was very tasty and huuuge, I didn't finish it all. My partner ordered the blackened shrimp and grits which we both loved as well.
Overall this place rocks and I would go back again next time I'm in town. Thyme was so awesome and I hope next time she is there as well.

Wow wow wow! Went six years ago when it opened and it was good. This time it was great! Not only were they able to accommodate last minute a party of 8 on the balcony but my server gave me extra olives to snack on with my martini she was amazing. Oh also we had the steak wedge salad (10/10) mamas dumplings (10/10) oyster blt (6.5/10) chicken gizzards (7/10) chicken gumbo (9.5/10) flambeaux shrimp (10/10) shrimp and grits (8/10) seared fish (10/10) collard greens (10/10) all the desserts but can’t remember them and the house made lemoncchelloooo
Great gumbo. So hot inside we had to leave. No light domestic beer. Just carry one please.
