Overwhelmingly disappointing experience. The cocktails were nice and the gumbo had a good flavour but that's where the positives end. The gumbo did not seem to have a roux and was thus watery (maybe that's their take on the classic?). The oyster BLT had a slight off taste but the bacon helped offset that a bit. We chose the shrimp n grits and the ribeye for mains and this is where the dining fell apart. We received a rare ribeye (we asked for medium rare) that was cold in the center. The steak did not have any flavour or a crust. After letting the waitress know, they took the steak back. I thought the were going to fire a new steak to cook it right but they just took the same steak that was on our plate and up-cooked it. It kind of ruined the texture of the steak even more. We barely touched this $52 main. The shrimp and grits were overwhelmingly salty which was a shame as the flavor could have been nice. After telling the waitress about the saltiness, she mentioned that the chef was a heavy smoker which was actually hilarious and revealing. Unfortunately, the staff was aware of our disappointment and nothing was done to redeem the meal. We asked for the check, paid and left our mains on the table. It was the worst dining experience I had in NOLA. Although the staff was still friendly and the gumbo was alright, for a bill over $200, I would warn anyone to stay away from this restaurant.

Not sure what the hype is. Service is extremely slow/poor. Food is very mediocre. We had the flambeaux shrimp, shrimp and grits, and ribeye. Shrimp tasted frozen and ribeye was full of fat. Despite all of that, we waited long for every step of our dining experience. I would recommend several different restaurants if you’re planning to visit and only have 2-3 days to dine.

The food is perfectly delectable. Just what I needed! ?Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is NOT wheelchair accessible. There is no elevator to get to the main dining room or restroom upstairs. The only restroom I could use was in a different building, up and down several steps. I was exhausted after going to the bathroom.

A local recommended this restaurant for brunch and I was highly disappointed. The service was very slow - we waited over an hour for our food to arrive and the food was lukewarm at best. Granted, it was Easter Sunday, but it's hard to justify the price of the dishes with this level of service.Overcharged us - upon returning home, I noticed that the restaurant took an extra $4 of tip, even though I had clearly written down the total on the receipt. Not that I'm crying over $4 but if the restaurant can change the total charged, why bother asking us to sign the receipt?
