Best blood Mary I’ve ever had. The waiter gave the best service we have had since coming to New Orleans. The food was good, I enjoyed the gumbo the most.

I was in a hurry trying to catch the boat, so when I asked for anything quick for takeout, the guy behind the bar suggested their signature Gumbo Ya-Ya, which is supposed to have everything, but ended up having nothing but soup and a few small pieces of chicken. He even gave me only half a bowl of rice until I asked to pay for more. The rice was hard and barely chewable. This restaurant gave me a taste of true New Orleans hospitality! I should have known better when I saw the restaurant was visited sparesely by customers in a busy area.

Came in as it opened. Not too crowded, service was taking a bit of time. Had chosen the "chose three", portions were okay, and the alligator Po-Boy.

The food was okay and the place itself had a nice atmosphere. When we arrived we were one of two tables. We were sat at a dirty table. Our server Kobe had no idea what he was doing. He forgot drinks that we asked for 3 times. He delivered 5/6 of our dishes and then asked if anything was missing. When we let him know something was it took another ten minutes to arrive. One food order was the gumbo with the jambalaya on top and it was missing the jambalaya. He was outside at one point and had to brought in by the manager to bring us our food. We heard him complain about serving 6 people. When we were eating we couldn’t even complain about the issues we were having because he was sitting down across the restaurant and we couldn’t see him. He didn’t come back to us until he saw someone in our party asking for the manager. After all of that we paid the full price of $230 for okay food but the worst service.Maybe order take out instead of dining in so you can taste the food without dealing with a server who couldn’t be bothered to pay attention to one of the only tables in the restaurant. There’s a reason this place was practically empty on a Saturday at dinner time.Edited to add my sister had the chicken sandwich and has been sick ever since.

Restaurant near the French Quarter, decent food but nothing more, for the price with the exchange rate becomes very expensive.

This place was pretty amazing it's right on the beach nice frozen drinks the wait staff took a little time to get to you even though it wasn't crowded because they were talking but I guess they weren't ready for someone to come up they did have some other people's at the table that they were waiting on the food was good the prices were right the drinks were okay and once she started waiting on us she was great

I’m giving the coveted 5 because it is what I expected. I just wanted affordable delicious gumbo near the French quarter and Gumbo Ya Ya delivered. They had a four bowl sampler for $20‼️

The beans and rice with sausage was a great choice. Also the Jambalaya with blacken chicken was good. Definitely will come back again. We each had a drink too.

Hardly anyone there, took an hour to get order (just salads and gumbos). 1 person got wrong order TWICE, 2 others had to return gumbos because they were cold. Waiter vanished for an hour after taking order.

A hot mess when it came to service. Nobody knew what the others were doing. Everyone seemed stressed. It definitely impacted the customers.

I was literally just there and ordered a fish po-boy and before I ordered it I asked the waiter if it was Mississippi catfish and he said it was indeed catfish but when I got it it tasted weird so when the manager came around I asked her if it was Mississippi catfish and not only was it not Mississippi catfish but was some kind of white fish!!! They just outright lie to you in your face!!! I’m from the south and we know our catfish!!! Don’t go to this place can’t be trusted and will tell you what they think you want to hear buyer beware!!!! You welcome in advance!!!

Great place! Stopped in to share some apps and have a couple of drinks. The service is great! I believe the bartender was Zach and our server who was also awesome was Brian. It was busy and understaffed but they both kicked butt and made it a good experience. The gator and Boudin balls were bomb! We also really liked the shrimp platter! Seafood gumbo was pretty good too. Definitely worth checking out.

Like most tourist spots, this place is mid at best. Overpriced and nothing special. If you've got absolutely no other choice, give it a try, but you're better off eating at a local neighborhood

After spending a Saturday in the busy and very noisy streets of the quarter, my family was super lucky to find them gem of a restaurant. It’s tucked away so that it’s not too busy but also right where the action is. We were able to have a quiet delicious meal after a stressful walk. The atmosphere was lovely, the waiter, I believe his name was Brian, served us and was extremely friendly, enthusiastic, and helpful. The gumbo yaya and the seafood gumbo was delicious (and I know gumbo pretty well). The manager greeted us at some point as well. The place is also wheelchair accessible, which was extremely helpful for my mother. Many restaurants are not assessable in the area even if they say they are. Anyway I wanted to leave a nice review because the place really was genuinely the best part of our New Orleans trip that day.Wheelchair accessibility: The place is thankfully wheelchair accessible.
