I lived across the street for Haydel's for 9 years, so choosing them for my wedding cake was a no-brainer. We were so happy with how our wedding and groom's cakes looked and tasted!
I ordered and picked up a birthday cake from Haydels. It was delicious and fresh. It was an Almond cake with Almond butter cream icing and dark blue lettering. Everyon at the dinner said best cake they ever had.

It's good for what it is. An old school bakery. Not anything. Very exciting or unique to be found. Nothing savory but the croissants which are not worth getting. If you're looking for a cake, a wedding cake, or a more traditional New Orleans style pastry, this is the place to go. Go. If you're looking for something unique, there are lots of other small bakeries around the city that provide that
