The service was fine. The food was just okay. The original location seems to have a better selection and flavor for the food. Wasted a good reservation during a busy time!
The food was amazing! The server was also great. My issue was with the host who had a terrible attitude and did not know how to communicate properly with guests. He shoved one of the patrons out the door as we were waiting to be seated and didn't even say anything until after he pushed her out the door. I thought that was extremely rude. It also took an hour to get your food so also be aware of that.
Gumbo they brought us was cold and not seasoned. We asked if we could substitute it and the waiter said he couldn't but he'd get a manager. The manager came to our table rolled his eyes and looked at us until we said well what are you going to do. He grabbed the bowls and began to walk to the kitchen. We stopped him and said well didn't want anything. To cancel our order. He brought the bill back with the two bowls of gumbo charged on their and he clearly took them back to the kitchen. I wouldn't advise anyone to eat there.
The food was good, but super expensive and they add a service charge to your bill and they tell you to make sure you tip your server as the service charge is shared and doesn't go to the server. Also, they add an entertainment fee due to them having a DJ and this is not advertised or mentioned until you receive the bill. As I said the food was good but not worth the price.
This is a place I would not go back to. We ordered old fashioned drinks, the oxtail plates and the half chicken plate. First the old fashioned was made incorrectly and less than half a glass. It was awful. Had the largest piece of orange in it. The half chicken plate was not that at all. Maybe just a thigh. Food was overpriced and not worth the hype. They also charged 20% service charge, and if they had entertainment they would add $5 per person to your check. This is another tourist trap, not worth the price.
We went during dinnertime on a Sunday and it was completely dead. I heard they're packed for brunch so that probably is when the entertainment was the best. The music was good and the decor was very nice; staff was super attentive and nice. The food was also decent but overpriced for me. A 20% surcharge was also given although it was only 2 of us which didn't make sense to me for the quality of the place as a whole. Be advised there is also a sign that says they charge $5 per person for a "entertainment" fee so there's that. Overall, it was fine.
Chaniya was an excellent waitress! She was very attentive and friendly. This is a great spot for a group of you're trying to fill your stomach and turn up. The DJ was working, the ambiance is great for twerking. That said the food is just ok— it will get the job done if you're looking for sustenance to fight yesterday's hangover or a solid base to turn up to today. Don't come expecting the best food in Nola. Also watch the double tip scam. I didn't realize until I left that they got me for two 20% tips, since they already included the tip and didn't provide a paper copy of the receipt.
Overall, the food quality was not what I'd expected. The dirty rice was wet, and the fried rice didn't seem to have been fried at all; it was gummy, like boiled rice with soy sauce. The wings were tough and lacked flavor, and the steak was not cooked to the proper temperature. Another guest and I were quite disappointed that the souvenir Dusse 'Rita bottles arrived at the table only half full. The service was comparable to the owners' Nice Guys location. Servers were less rude, but seemed to lack thorough training. It took some time for our drinks to be refilled, and there was a gap between the entrees being served at our table. We were not asked if we'd like to-go boxes, despite there being food left on several plates-- my son and his guest wanted to box their leftovers. I did notice a pattern of servers reaching over other guests to serve plates instead of walking around to the side of the table where the plate should have been served. One server appeared visibly annoyed that my niece did not notice that she needed to pull in her chair so the person at the next table on the opposite side could be served. FYI- If you choose to dine on a day/evening when there is live entertainment. Each guest will be charged an additional $5 for an entertainment fee. I am all for supporting our BOBs. This was MY experience. Please make reservations to form your own opinion.
Love this spot! I didn't catch the live music so it was nice and quiet when I went. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Great service from Ms. Janae!! If you go, sit in her section. She'll take good care of you! Now as for the food. It was good but not quite excellent. I had the oxtails and mac and cheese with greens. The greens were delicious!! The mac and cheese and oxtails were too but they were a little too salty. Too much sauce on the oxtails. I still enjoyed it. And would go back again.
Restaurant has a nice atmosphere! The music was good! However the waiter quoted the wrong price for drinks. We would have gotten more drinks if the first price was quoted correctly. The adversities for a take home cup was on both signs yet only applied to one drink special. When asking for the manager the waiter said I can get him, but he's not going to do anything. After the confusion, she came back with no manager and offered a $5 discount. She needs to learn how to sell drinks and offers to increase her ticket price. She also rushed us even tho there was no one coming in the restaurant. She literally took a plate with food on it and after holding it asked if we were finished. She gave us our ticket before we could order another drink/desert.

Ambiance & server was good, gumbo was great.. Mac & cheese taste fresh out the box & oxtails wasn't flavorful at all.
This was my third time visiting Headquarters and each time my expectations were heightened. The Lamb Chops were PHENOMENAL and my mother's Seafood Deluxe was one for the books. The Customer Service has never failed us yet.
The waitress was rushing us from the moment we were seated. She was not good about refilling drinks. As soon as half of us were done eating she was already trying to cash us out. The restaurant was not full and there was zero reason to be rushing us out. The three of us that had the corn crab chowder ended up violently ill. We definitely won't ever be back .
We had a WONDERFUL experience at Headquarters! It was a vibe. If you're looking for a quiet meal... not for you! Looking for good music, fun and community...this is the place. Servers were very nice and attentive. Stop by!
We had a large group and the service was impeccable. The atmosphere was enjoyable and helped add to the celebration we were having. I will definitely go back next time that I am in New Orleans.
